stayed here at the end of july. it was race week, so accomodation is hard got. HOwever the hotel is so bad. AT €440 a night, we didnt get more than 3 hours sleep a night. Early morning the noise outside was horendous. No need to complain,as nothing was done for us when we did. The only thing it has going for it is location, right smack bang in the middle of the city, The rooms are very basic & hot with very little window to open. i can go on, but wont: a complete rip off & dont bother going, there are much better accomodations, better value in the city.

On the 28th of June, my now husband Richard and I had our wedding reception in Hotel Meyrick.
From the moment we arrived until we left two days later, we could not fault the hotel in any way...
The service, the staff, the food, the venue all excellent.
The Manager, Cian even did a 'rain dance', and the sun came out!!!
Thank you all so much for making our day so special.
If we could do it all again, we wouldnt change a thing!

Rooms small but reasonably clean and comfortable. Ask for a room that faces the back, because otherwise you may hear a lot of noise late at night. Bathrooms are small but otherwise OK, matching the room itself. A typical mid-range European hotel. Not a 4-star by US standards, though it is rated this way by some places. There is no air-conditioning, at least in the part of the hotel we were in.

Stayed here in July when attending the Galway races. The lobby and dining room of the hotel itself is rather dark and may not be to everyones taste. However our room overlooked Eyre Square and was excellent overall. I can't see why this hotel gets some dubious reviews. It's a city centre hotel that is conveniently located and it is also comfortable and clean. What more would you want? Recommended for any trip to Galway.

Stayed with family for hen night and was more than impressed with hotel and staff. Location in Eyre Square, near train and bus station, shopping and could'nt get more central. The rooms are divided between the older and newer parts but all are large and comfortable with all amenities. There is a cocktail bar, spa and huge lobby. Also there is a late night bar downstairs which is trendy but smallish. The staff are brilliant and even brought us through to train station without leaving the hotel!! Saved us from the rain. Brilliant value for money and will definitely go back.
