While the accomodations here are clean and comfortable, the B&B is a bit further out than we realized at first glance. It is not within clear walking distance of anything but Salthill, which is somewhat touristy. If you don't mind taking a cab in and out of the city, it's a fine location.
It is an excellent location for taking a day trip out of the city up to Connemara which was why we booked it.
The owner is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty, but nothing exceptional. The coffee, however, was quite delicious. We enjoyed our stay there. The only thing to be wary of is that it is quite a distance from Galway City itself. If we had been there for more than two nights or wanted to see more of the city itself, it would have been a bit far. If you're going for an ocean holiday, it's proximity to Salthill is definitely a plus!
As an aside, I was unaware of the ater problems in Galway city that have been going on for quite some time. The water from the taps is not potable. If this worries you, stay elsewhere to visit the Galway area.
