I cannot begin to express how wonderful my stay at Abacus Guest House was! I was very warmly greeted by Breege who kindly asked me whether I needed help up the stairs with my suitcase and who supplied me with a city map and let me know if I needed anything to feel free to ask!

My room was immaculate, had an alarm clock, a mini fridge, a safe and a very nice little booklet outlining where to find restaurants and what buses to take to the city centre etc. There were nice toiletries in the bathroom such as makeup remover pads and ear swabs; what a special touch! They displayed a good mix of friendliness and professionalism that I greatly appreciated.

The breakfast was very generous and delicious as well! Breege, Louise and Noel all bent over backwards for me and made me feel at home; a good feeling when you are homesick! I finally got a taste of the Irish hospitality that I had always heard of at Abacus House. I highly recommend a stay with them! Thanks again, I will return for sure!! :)

If you're looking for a B&B in Galway look no further. I loved Abacus Guest House. I'm really fussy about cleanliness and good service and as such was incredibly happy that I couldn't fault my stay. The room I stayed in was fresh, bright and immaculately clean. The furnishing was as new and the whole place was tasteful and tidy. Damn good breakfast too!

The family who runs the Abacus B&B were among the warmest and friendliest that I encountered in my entire trip. They gave a number of recommendations as to what to see and where to go in Galway and provided a wonderful Irish breakfast. The facilities were clean and comfortable and made for an excellent home base from which to explore Galway. I would most definitely stay there again.
