I booked this on a wing and a prayer last week - though it's not cheap it' s worth every euro for the quality and style.

Lovely helpful staff, gorgeous decor, great breakfast.

The rooms are not huge but they are beautifully designed. Yes, the bathroom doors are opaque glass but this is really not a problem unless you don't know your companion intimately at all! You can't see or hear anything more than you would do normally.

Great location down by the Quays - much the nicest part of town for shopping, near the harbour for nice strolls and a great spot to be near anything you could wish for in terms of going out at night.
We'd definitely recommend it - Galway was brill all round but the hotel was the icing on the cake - definitely worth the extra money but actually less expesnive than you think it might be!

I recently stayed at the House Hotel for two nights with dinner on one night. The location is very good just at the bottom of the quays and a 5 minute walk to the main shopping/dining/drinking areas of the city.

The hotel itself is beautiful decorated with a lovely reception area, seating area plus bar and restaurant. There is a lot of attention to detail in the decor. The rooms is also beautifully decorated with robes, slippers and a nicely stocked mini bar. The hotel offers a turndown service with fresh fruit and some chocolate cake by the bedside which is a lovely touch. Staff are courteous and pleasant and very professional.

Breakfast was delivered to the room and is of a fantastic standard; options include full Irish breakfast, cereals, porridge, pastries and smoothies, a nice change from the usual

Bad Points: Rooms are very small, I felt slightly overpriced.
Our package included dinner on one night. The menu had 3 starters/mains and desserts to choose from, overall I didn’t feel the meal lived up to the other standards that the hotel sets.

I would definitely recommend the hotel put perhaps not dinner in the restaurant as an inclusion in your stay.
