Lovely hotel. Excellent location. Parking a little far away and not free, but discounted. Comfy rooms quite small. Lots of nice touches like chocs in the evening in the room, newspapers in the morning, bed turned down, slippers left out etc. Nice bowl of seafood chowder in the restaurant. Service excellent, staff very friendly. Small, quirky hotel.

We just got back from a wonderful stay at the House Hotel. We were so impressed with the service, the cozy rooms and in general a very well run hotel. It has a very hip feel, but at the same time very warm and service oriented. We travel a great deal and we are very fussy travellers, so if we rate this hotel a 5 out of 5, then you can rest assure it is a great bet. If we every go back to Galway we would stay here again...

We found all of the staff to be just exceptional, which tells me that this is a very well run hotel. I understand that new ownership just took place 2 weeks ago, so hopefully they will maintain the high standard. The location is also perfect, so close to everything, but not in the middle of all of the noise.

although it is on the high side price wise on speaking to others in the town it was worth it compared to the corporate offerings in the town. this a great wee relaxed hotel with lovely rooms fixtures and fittings. the location is fantastic 15-20euro in a cab from the airport, 2 min walk from the station and 1 min from the main drag and sea. i would also recommend Cookes in the town for a bite to eat we went sunday lunch and heard the only other couple in there commenting how good it was. my dish of seafood platter not on the lunch menu was no trouble for the staff and the taste was awesome, as were the mrs' crab claws and mussels.

I recently stayed here for one night of the bank holiday weekend. The hotel reception is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, the room was just as nice and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was good and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here again. It's right in the city centre which is great and if you park in the nearby multi storey car park you get discounted parking.
