What a cool little place. We booked last minute via the hotel website. It is well situated for foot traffic, area tour buses, the train & bus station.

We made the short walk from the train station right past where all the tour buses load. With the luggage it took maybe 5 minutes and we bypassed the pedestrian zone.

It is also nicely placed as it's close to the pedestrian zone yet far enough way to be quiet. Just pass through the alley. :)

Room, lobby and restaurant were all fantastic. The staff was able to help and answer our multiple questions.

Lovely hotel very comfy vlean with all the essentials. Parking has to be paid for thou. Also its a bit pricey however this is the Citys fault and not the Hotels. The staff very nice and we had a meal in the restraunt was of a good standard we would not hesitate to return.

This is a nice hotel - bright and clean - in a good location in Galway, very near the harbour and Quay Street.

The staff are helpful and friendly, though I was surprised that quite a high proportion of them were not Irish.

However, in some ways it was a disappointing experience; firstly because even with the online discount of about 30% it costs approx £100 a night and for that I expect a room larger than the one we were originally allocated. And with a bath as well as just a shower. That was one of the 'comfy' rooms.

We were upgraded to a larger room (I'm guessing a 'classy' rather than a 'swanky' - yes stupid names but blame the hotel for that!) and it had nice features .... a choice of music, for example, through your LCD tv. And a Senseo coffee machine (but vile tea and coffee to put through it - urgh - get some Twinings tea, and some decent coffee please!).

Breakfast is selected from a menu - which you'd think would mean it's piping hot. But it's not. And the hotel was far from full so that can't be excused. That put us off dining there in the evening so I can't review the restaurant ... but I do recommend the nearby Tamarind for a delicious Thai meal!

Stayed in this hotel recently with my partner for one night. I can not rate it highly enough. everything about our stay here was perfect. The staff were excellent so friendly and helpful. the shower in the bathroom is brilliant....i want one!!!!!! the bed was so comfy... fluffy duvets and pillows had a great nights sleep didnt hear any noise whatsoever.
fluffy bathrobes & slippers, l'Occitane toiletries, mini bar & snacks all added to our perfect weekend.
Great location, less than 5 minutes from Shop street and just around the corner from all the bars on Quay street, we ate in a really nice Italian just across from the Quays bar, & McDonaghs chip shop is around the corner....you have to try the fish and chips!!!!!
there are Opaque doors on the toilet with a gap around all the door which doesnt leave for much privacy & no lock. it didnt bother me but for others it might.
Will be staying in this hotel again, it was just brilliant. Yes it is expensive (€180 a night) but in my opinion it is well well worth it.
