I stayed with Eddie & Helen (the owners) in May, of 2008. First, the postives; free and excellent Wifi service available in the rooms, wonderful staff, great breakfast, convenient location-walking distance to downtown Galway. Not positive; no laundry service for guests, shabby showers, and small cramped rooms. I stayed in a single and it was the size of a shoe box. The closet was half as big as most closets, there was a small shelf that held the tea maker, a tiny bed and a nightstand. Nothing else would fit. It is the smallest room I've ever stayed in, at a Bed & Breakfast. It was ensuite, but the bathroom was a bit bigger than an airplane bathroom (that is with a tiny shower). The shower was weak and a handheld. I hope the doubles are larger! It is a good sized Bed & Breakfast, so I was shocked that my room was so small. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. The room was very clean, as was the entire establishment. This establishment is located on College Road, which is just a stone's throw from downtown Galway. You can walk to the city Center, in only five minutes (that is with standing at a cross walk for two minutes).

The Four Seasons is well located close to the railway station and town centre and easily found if arriving by car. The property is well maintained and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with a large choice and of very good quality. This is the best B&B I have stayed in.

We agree with ost of the other reviews here that this is a great place to stay while in Galway. The place is clean, the hosts are friendly and considerate and the walk into the city center is barely five minutes which means no inconvient parking problems. It is also a short drive north to the Connemara or south to the Burren. Eddie and Helen can direct you to whatever you would like to see or do in the area.

My wife and I have just returned from a memorable five night stay at this wonderful B&B. We holiday a lot around Ireland and have stayed in many B&Bs of varying quality- this was hands-down the most comfortable and pleasant family home we have yet experienced.
The owners couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay, recommending various pubs, restaraunts, outings, etc. The breakfast was particularly memorable both for the freshness and variety of the food on offer.
The B&B is very conveniently located for all the pubs, etc in town, being only a ten minute walk from the city centre.
Can't recommend this place enough, and we stayed in the annex, which was comfortable and private and has its own separate entrance- handy when you've had one Guinness too many and don't want to wake the rest of the house on your way in!

I have just returned from a too short visist to Ireland. I needed two rooms for two nights and contacted a few B&Bs. I chose the Four Seasons in the end and decided to call them directly. I spoke with Eddie on the phone, and after that I became so excited about the upcoming trip. He was just so welcoming on the phone and when we arrived. Our rooms were spacious, clean, with great showers and toiletries. The breakfasts were the best we had on the trip, no grease! It's a great location, five minutes to the square, and a few houses from the greyhound track.
I would definately recomend this B&B as a great alternative to staying in a chain hotel. Fantastic experience.
