I stayed at this B&B on a 5-day trip to Galway, and was pleasantly surprised. The neighbourhood is quiet and is only around ten minutes walk away from the shops (Eyre Square) and all the pubs. There is even a greyhound track 2 minutes in the other direction.
The proprietors themselves are kindly people, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure their guests had a good time. As has been said in the other reviews of this B&B, it is this aspect, the service, that sets the place apart. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Plenty of friendly advice is given if needed, and lots of information about what to do in Galway is available. I have only experienced this kind of service in the past in 5* hotels.
The prices were pretty reasonable for what you get. The rooms are functional, but that's what I paid for. There is Sky TV and a shower / toilet; I stayed in a single room - the doubles may be different.
The breakfasts themselves are very good. I never partook of the Irish breakfast / smoked salmon myself, but I can certify that the breakfasts certainly fill you up. The fruit salads are good, and the supply of bread is overflowing. This is a great thing for me. There are also omelettes, newspapers and whatever else you need.
In summary: if you're thinking of staying in Galway, go to this place. You won't regret it.
