“The accomodations were very good, the entertainment was great.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

The hotel has a long history behind it, but has been well maintained. Parking is a challenge so it was easier to park on the street. The hotel is located within walking distance of very good shopping and site seeing. Hotel personnel were friendly and informative as to the local area. The best part of the hotel was the restaurant and pub. Food was very good, but the entertainment was the best. It began with approximately 4 or 5 musicians gathering to play traditional Irish music. As the night went on more musicians gathered to play. In all there were 13 musicians playing numerous instruments which sounded great. We were in Ireland for 2 weeks and this had to be the best pub band by far. It is a destination that should not be missed.

Hi, my husband and I stayed here at the start of July 2011. We have stayed in this hotel a few times before and decided it was time to write a review. When we arrived we got a parking space without any problems. Our check in was quick and when we arrived at our room we were very pleased. It was big with loads of space. We had a tv, ironing board, tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was big also. We had dinner both evenings in the hotel and I have to say the food was wonderful. My husband said it was the best he has ever got in any hotel in Ireland.Breakfast was just as good. There was a great selection of juice, fruit and cereal. Full irish breakfast or any hot breakfast was freshly cooked by the chef.No buffet style breakfast where everything is placed on hotplates and is freezing cold or laying for hours. Best breakfast ever!!!! Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is so close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. The staff here are so friendly and helpful I will definitely be staying again

The hotel had the best kitchen during the whole Ireland trip. Best regards to chef de cuisine, Parking possibility downstairs. Nice personell. The room was comfortable but the position extremely noisy (one of Galways main roads and crossing), good size washroom. The most expensive nighting place during our stay.

The hotel is located just off eyre square in galway,
right beside the town centre so a super location.
There's parking on the hotels Premises which is handy as parking in galway can be a nightmare.
The hotels room was fairly basic but it was clean.
The staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was really good.
Would definetly stay here again

There are some hard markers out there. We stayed on a Monday night so probably missed the busier nights. No noises and we had a good night's sleep. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Shower is one of the best we experienced over the past week or so.

We stayed in a standard room bought on the web for €90 pn. Breakfast included although not huge by some standards was more than adequate.

All in all a comfortable and reasonable place to stay.
