“Clean, Comfortable and Easy Walk to Everything”

The Swallow was a pleasant B&B just over the river from the main part of Galway. The location was great: an easy walk to Galway Cathedral, the Spanish Arch, and all the best pubs in the Latin Quarter. It was also convenient to several bus routes to Salt Hill. I stayed in a single room that was small but livable with a nice closet and comfortable bed. There was a nice large window, a full length mirror and a TV. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was not the full Irish breakfast that many expect at B&Bs but it was a perfectly adequate meal of eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, etc. I think the breakfast may be the reason why The Swallow charges a few Euro less than the others in the same area.

Stayed here recently and found the Swallow a nice, little, comfortable BnB on the Fr Griffin Road, very close to Galway City and Salthil.

Room was clean and basic, we had a double and the couple running the place are very, very helpful and enthusiastic. Wouldnt let us leave without making us have a cup of tea.

Small bathroom with shower, decent wardrobe space, coffee/tea making in the room, small tv with the usual 5 channels. But all in all, handy if you're not too fussy!

I travelled to Galway last month with my husband and came across this lovely B&B. Firstly, it was a great location, less than a 10 minute walk into the town and the distance to Salthill. It was very clean and good value for money. The owner was very helpful too. Would definitely recommend it.
