i stayed at the swallow bed and breakfast, from sept the 9th to 12th, on arrival i was greeted at the door with a friendly smile from my host's ,as a frequent traveller to distant places world wide i was pleasantly surprised ,at this beautiful home a credit
to it's owner's,i found the room to be very spacey ,decorated beautiful . i found the room was spotless clean, tv provided , and tea' and coffee, the on suite was imaculate with fresh clean towel's provided each day.
the dining room for breakfast was also immaculate, with a lovely continental, breakfast on offer,a wide choice to choose from,
my host's mr and mr's fitzgerald ,were very accomodating and were the perfect host's , for any one visiting galway city , i would recommend a stay at the swallow bed and breakfast, just a short walk to the city centre and a short walk to salthill.my stay there was ver enjoyable ,a home away from home.

I stayed there for two nights together with my boyfriend and we booked previously. First we got a seperate room next to the main building which was a mess; it was tiny, the floor was extremly filthy and also the furniture, which was "hostel-style", wasn't clean at all. finally I recognised that also the linen was dirty. The view out of the window was towards a wall. It reminded me of a hostel-room instead of b&b, but even if it was a hostel-room it would be a mess.
I didn't feel well there and I'm not ready to pay an amount of 35 euros per night for such an accomodation. So I talked to mr. fitzgerald. He instantly offered me a different room, upstairs inside the house. This room was okay, but there were some problems with the cleanliness as well (e.g. pubic hair in the teabags provided - ??).
Our assumption is that the owners wanted to keep the nice room free for guests which pass by without a reservation as they surely want to have a look at the room before taking it. Because of the fact that we had already booked the room via the internet they gave us the dirty one, hoping that we would accept. I don't think that this is an acceptable way of providing rooms for guests, also because the price is always the same.
Nevertheless I want to say that the hosts are friendly. Mrs. fitzgerald was very accurate and provided nice breakfast.

I recently stayed with my wife at The Swallows B&B and found it a wonderful experience The hosts are jovial and friendly , its ideally located for city centre and beach, both only 10 mins walk.

The breakfeast was top class as was the room.

Look forward to returning there.

Stayed in this B&B for May Bank Holiday, it was recommended to me by family that had stayed there earlier this year. Firstly, the location is perfect, about 10min walk into town centre and same to beach area of Salthill. The place itself was very clean and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was continental, scrambled eggs, cereals, fruit etc, great variety! Would definitely stay here again.

We found this place on the Internet and having read the reviews on this web site, decided to book 2 nights. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. We are not sure whether our dirty cups were missed, or whether they are only supplied clean on arrival.
A plumbing problem caused the shower water to drain very slowly, meaning we were standing in water whilst drying ourselves. Our friends in another room had the same problem.
Breakfast was buffet style and was fine until my wife found a long dark hair in the scrambled eggs.
