We stayed in this guest house for two nights when we visited Galway on May 13, 2007. We were very much impressed by the hospitality we received at the guesthouse. The owner Geraldine was very friendly and took care of all our needs. The rooms were very neat and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We were provided an extra bed for our child at no additional cost. The bathrooms were clean, and hot water was available. The rooms and the bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Gerladine used to come to our room in the evenings when we returned from sightseeing trips and made sure that we had all what we needed.

We quite enjoyed the sumptuous breakfasts provided in the morning. Geraldine took care to make sure that our child got what she needed. The guesthouse is a few minutes walk from the city center which was very convenient.
My friend and his family also stayed with us in this guesthouse during this visit and all of us agreed that our stay was an enjoyable experience and definitely was one of the highlights of our Galway visit. I can without doubt say that the hospitality we received here was outstanding and one of the best we ever had.

Our hostess Geraldine was so kind to my daughter and myself.
We rearranged our flight using her phone which took up quite a bit of time. Her place is lovely, very clean and homey! Our breakfasts were very large and we ate in the atrium overlooking
the garden which was very inviting every morning. I liked the atmosphere of staying in a B&B. Very homey feel to it and nice to have someone to chat with. All the special little touches were nice such as fresh fruit in the room, bottled water and biscuits to have with our tea if we liked. I would very definitely recommend
this place...just minutes from the center of Galway!

I've just returned from 2 days in Galways where er stayd in Asgard Guesthouse.
Is is a nice house with beautiful and very clean rooms.
Housekeeper is very nice, she helps you in every way.
Breakfast is very Irish so you can also avoid to eat until 7.00 p.m.
House is 5 minutes walk far from city centre to be reachd to a pleasant green park.

We stayed here on 29th & 30th Apr 07 and found it very friendly and welcoming. The room was adequate and clean. The breakfast was plentiful and unhurried. The location for central Galway is superb.
We booked by email and paid on departure. We would definitely stay here again.

I was there for one night at the end of March and Ive never been so disappointed and shocked by anywhere Ive stayed. Its the worst B & B Ive ever come across. The owner has no manners and no idea how to treat guests. As soon as we arrived in the door before we even got our room or the key she demanded money off us. We asked to see the room first and it was tiny. The door into the room couldnt even open the full way because it hit off the bed. There was only a narrow space between the beds and the wall where one person could stand. The bathroom door wouldnt even open fully. The person I was with went down to ask was there a bigger room & she told us it was the biggest room in the house. An absolute lie! She shouted at him and demanded the money. I could hear her all the way upstairs. We only paid the money because we had rang around other B & Bs to check for availability and there was none so we had no other choice.

The next morning we went down for breakfast and she asked both of us did we want a full fry, my friend said yes and I said no and started to say I just wanted eggs but before Id even gotten to the word eggs she had turned her back and walked off.

The owner is rude, inconsiderate, angry and doesnt even know the meaning of manners or friendliness. Even if she had been nice it would not have made up for the poor quality of the B & B.
Avoid it at all costs!
