This was my first trip to Ireland. I am a single mom with three teenagers, Liz (15), Bridget (14) and Brendan (13). Despite my sometimes noisy teenagers, they provided such a wonderful atmosphere that my kids and I will never forget. My kids still talk about the breakfast that they did not want to miss. I was also grateful that we had our own bathroom, shower in our room. They really work hard to make everyone feel at home and comfortable. Thanks again it was a wonderful trip.

My first trip to Ireland was hilighted by a stay at the Auburn House in Galway with Mary and Robby. The accommodations were clean and inviting. The food was lovely and the location was very convenient to our Galway connections. The best part or our visit was the warm hospitality of the owners. We were made to feel welcome as guests in their home, not just reservations at an inn. We will definitly put the Auburn House on our list of must return to spots. Thanks for the Irish hospitality. Pros: Clean, comfortable room. Good food. Friendly owners.

Cons: A little too far from city center (about a 40 min walk). Room was very noisy... constant street noise but I was too tired to care (maybe from all that walking :))

Overall I recommend it.

I stayed in Auburn house a number of times over the last few years the last time being December '05. Mary & Roddy the couple who run the B&B are such warm & friendly hosts it's such a pleasure to stay there. The location is great for access to the city and it's nice and quiet too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone travelling through or staying in Galway.
