We stayed in the Mariott in November 07 and again a few times since. The rooms are fantastic. Massive beds, nice and quiet, very clean and comfy. Fabulous spread for breakfast. Next time we go to Galway we will definately stay there!

I stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip.

Accommodation: The first room I was given was directly over the entrance to the car park, the racket from whose ventilation system made sleep impossible. I requested a move and was given another room which was much quieter, though I could still hear the hum of a ventilation unit from somewhere.

Both rooms, however, were clean, comfortable, and well appointed.

Restaurant: Dinner, though perhaps a bit on the pricey side, was excellent, served by efficient, friendly and interested staff. Breakfast, on the other hand, was badly organized, with many buffet items not being available until long after the supposed opening time.

The bar also provided a reasonable offering of food and drink served by pleasant staff. The staff, in fact, were a general strength of the hotel, though timing of some of the housekeeping activities was a bit peculiar!

Location: Not exactly an attractive location, but very convenient for local roads and nearby shops, and only 15 minutes’ or so walk from the city centre.

I stayed in this hotel for one night on a business trip. I arrived on the Wednesday night at 11pm after a long journey. Check in was easy and staff pleasant.

However, when I got to my room I immediately noticed a loud humming noise which I thought was the AC but on further inspection I realised it was coming from outside the room. This was very annoying. I slept eventually out of pure exhaustion but awoke the next morning to the same noise. One of my colleagues stayed on a different floor and had the same problem.

Service at breakfast the next morning was poor but possibly because I was there at 7:15am. Nobody came to my table to take an order and I had to search somebody out to get coffee.

The hotel itself seems nice enough but looks older than it actually is. Having said all this, the price per room is reasonable and I may have been unlucky with the room. Had I arrived earlier I would have asked to be moved.

Stayed in this hotel for one nigth with my daughter. Hotel located near busy roundabout about 15 min walk from town. Room was lovely and clean.

The staff were excellent. I was unwell and needed to attend a doctor. The only appointment I could get was in the afternoon but the staff at the front desk allowed us to stay in the room until 2 o' clock although checkout was at 12. They also arranged for tea and toast to be delivered to the room. They were extremely helpful which helped me greatly.
