My husband and I stayed at Griffin Lodge for 2 nights in June 2008. We were greeted by Ann with a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was tiny but very comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size. Everything was clean, bright,and fresh-looking.

We really enjoyed the Irish breakfast, and I found out how good Fruit 'n' Fibre cereal is. The soda bread was delicious! We liked the casual, homey feel of the dining room, and the B&B as a whole. Ann was like my favorite aunt making us feel at home.

The B&B was a little hard to find as it was tucked away down a side road off the main road where we were expecting it to be, so if you are getting there on your own, make sure to have a good map and keep your eyes open for the street!

We would definitely recommend that anyone stay here while in Galway. It was a great deal and a wonderful experience.

Many tastefully decorated rooms of various size available.State needs when booking.Breakfast was delightful,the hostess very knowledegable.Wonderful location to walk to Galway Bay as well as all the sites in Galway City.
Will go back!!

My mom and I visited Galway for the first time in May 2005. Our first stop was the Griffin Lodge. We had a nice room on the third floor with a skylight, ensuite bath and 2 beds (double and single). We really enjoyed using Griffin Lodge as our home base, walking distance to Galway City just over the bridge. There isn't an elevator (guessing this is quite common) but we didn't have a problem with the stairs. Hope to go back soon!

Very friendly owner and good breakfast. The room was very small and the bathroom likewise. Parking very tight. Tastefully decorated.
