We absolutely loved the Bayberry House. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The bathrooms had been remodeled and were very nice. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Marie, the proprietor, was very welcoming and helpful. The gardens out back were especially beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Perhaps the only downside was the location, about a 10 minute cab ride to get into downtown Galway.

  • Liked — The nice rooms and friendly staff
  • Disliked — The location was too far to walk into downtown Galway

we have just had three days at this bed and breakfast, and cannot praise it high enough. The bedrooms were large light and spotlessly clean. The owners were very helpful and friendly, and imparted an abundance of local knowledge and information. will be going back. big choice at breakfast.

Our stay at the Bayberry House was very pleasant. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. The hosts were very outgoing and provided lots of attention to us, such as driving directions for getting around Galway and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, providing both hot and cold menus. The Bayberry House is on the western edge of Galway and, therefore, is convenient for getting into the tourist area of Galway and for trips to the Connamara region. The Bayberry House provides a great place to stay in the Galway area.

We started our Irish holiday with Tom and Marie of Bayberry House and at the end of our trip we felt this stay was our favorite. Our sunny room, which overlooked the garden, was spotless and had the extra touches of china cups and saucers and embroidered towels. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of variety. But what we liked most of all was our hosts, who took every opportunity to help us out. Giving us rides and advice on meals, even getting a rental car for us. We truly appreciated their kindness and hope to come back and visit again.

My wife and I were traveling the north and west of Ireland. We stayed in B&B’s in Port Rush, Letterkenny, Sligo and 6 nights in Galway where we were joined by our son. The Bayberry House was by far the nicest. Located in Salthill, 11/2 miles from Galway City Center. There is a bus on the corner or you could take a leisurely downhill walk to town. We had a large, bright, cheerful, spotless ensuite room. Wonderful cooked breakfast and a wide choice of cereals, fruits, and yogurts. Our hosts Marie and Tom could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I highly recommend this home.
