My seven night stay at the Bayberry House was everything I expected and more. The house is beautiful and Marie and Tom go beyond their duties as hosts to make you feel like a special guest in their home. As a solo traveler, first time in Ireland, I especially appreciated their advise, insights, and occasional rides into the city, and their clothes dryer! The walk to the city center took about 35 minutes but it's a pretty walk and worth it to stay in the quiet Salthill area. Breakfasts were wonderful and the food well presented. Everything was perfect. And I really enjoyed those Kimberley biscuits!

A wonderful place to stay with very accomodating hosts. The room was clean and spacious and the food was excellent, but the best thing is how much they try to make you feel at home. It is a bit of a walk from both Galway and Salt Hill, but the bus stop is very close which makes it very acessible.

  • Liked — The excellent service by the hosts.
  • Disliked — Kind of a walk from downtown Galway.

Our room was on the second floor and had a double and a twin bed. The shower was as powerful as a fire hose, although it’s adjustable. The television had many channels, which was atypical and welcome. The neighbor hood is quiet and located close to the sea. It is near a Dunnes Store & Supermarket with much better prices than the Dunnes downtown. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and yogurt, as well as the traditional Irish fare. Tom and Mary are both very nice, and I would definitely recommend this B&B.

  • Liked — The night's sleep and breakfast.
  • Disliked — Schlepping the luggage up and down the stairs.

I stayed in this bed and breakfast for one night and really found it be a home away from home. I already want to go back. The hosts are so friendly, welcoming and obliging and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and so filling and our room was very comfortable and spacious and had a lovely view of the garden. I would highly recommed this b&b.

Our two night stay at the Bayberry House was very pleasant; our room was clean and comfortable and there was ample off road parking. Hosts Marie and Tom were very outgoing and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and delicious – particularly the hot fruit dish of which Marie is rightly proud. Situated on the western edge of Galway, Bayberry House is a short drive to the eating and drinking establishments of Salthill and convenient for trips to the Connemara area. We would not hesitate to return to Bayberry House
