We stayed in the g -hotel for one night in January. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent service.Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Complimentary mineral water and cakes provided. We ordered room service and the presentation of the table sent to the room was fantastic- linen, red rose etc. Very impressive breakfast the next morning. Lovely spa- ESPA products. Can't wait to go back.

Gorgeous rooms which were huge, with king size beds and cosy sofa in the rooms. Wi fi throughout and fitted with all mod cons this is a splendid place to relax and be seen.

The public areas, especially the pink room, are camp and sumptous. Beautifully designed and fitted out - a whole design experience.

The only grump is that were there for two nights and weren't able to have any treatments in the spa as it was fully booked. The hydrotherapy pool was also out of order so the whole spa thing was a complete no go area.

Very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and great Pink Afternoon Tea.

Loved it.

My wife and I had just one night at the G hotel in Galway.

A number of the guests who have written reviews say that this hotel can be difficult to find. Even knowing this in advance still meant the we ended up doing two circuits before we actually saw the hotel. Even after asking for directions, it took a couple of minutes for us to find the hotel, which effectively forms part of the shopping centre and looks more like part of the cinema, which it is next to.

The valet service for the car was excellent, and we were checked in efficiently and shown to our room and explained the facilities of the hotel. Quickly and pleasantly.

The room had modern furniture, funky and eclectic, and everything suggests an attention to detail, which is not present in many hotels.

We can definitely recommend staying at the Hotel or using the ESPA facilities. As they are first class, and truly add to the relaxation and ambience of the hotel. As guests of the hotel the charge to use the SPA is considerably reduced, and does make one feel slightly more exclusive. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were both fantastic. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of excellent sauvignon blanc and staggered back to our rooms for a night under one of the most comfy duvets I have slept under for a long while.

Every touch in the hotel has been thought about from the matching pink umbrellas in the lobby through to the different decor used for the lounge and bar in the hotel.

I can certainly recommend this hotel for a couple of nights stay in Galway and for anyone who needs a spa or a bit of rest and relaxation.

Stayed here inthe New Year and thought it was fabulous. There is real attention to detail. Stayed in a superior double and find the room just great. Kingsize bed that was very comfortable. Flatscreen TV and DVD player. Sound is piped into the bathroom. Complimentary newspaper. Stylish bar. Breakfast with waiter service. The staff were just great. Instead of asking for things, they offered. They are obviously well-trained. Very very helpful.

It is a beautiful design hotel. Luxurious but not stuffy. If you are a fan of somewhere traditional like the Four Seasons, then this is probably not for you but my partner and I loved this hotel. I am sick of bland hotels providing mediocre services at exhorbitant prices. It may not be cheap but it is good. The best hotel we stayed in this year.

There is a cinema next door, which we took advantage of.

Downsides are that the location is not very good - it is about a 20 minute walk. It can be a bit too "designy". I know Philip Treacy`s involvement in the hotel but there really was overkill on the pictures of his hats dotted around the building. No view to speak of. We stayed at the front where at least you can see water but I suspect the view at the back is dismal (car park and shops).
