We enjoyed our stay very much. The decor is very unusual and most interesting. Furnishings, pictures etc. are very artistic and of highest quality with great attention to detail - eg. the large windows in the public rooms do not even get wet when it rains on them! Our bedroom was upgraded and was excellent. Staff, mostly Polish and some Irish could not have been more helpful.

Location is not wonderful on a busy road, as others have written. Nevertheless there is a good view of the lake from the public rooms and from our bedroom. The very low illumination throughout at night (even in the bathrooms) is a bit overdone and the ubiquitous piped "music" in the public areas is inane, banal and intrusive: it reaches a crescendo on weekends and could be almost unbearable to anyone with musical sense.

Perhaps I am just a grumpy old man and my perceived shortcomings should not detract from the very high standards achieved and our most successful stay.

The Good:

Beautiful fashionable decor
Professional staff
Excellent rooms
-fantastic shower (one of the best ever)
-very comfortable bed

The Bad:

Terrible location
Nothing Irish about it.
Very noisy location between a highway and a strip mall

Overall, we would not return here mainly because of the location. We prefer our hotel to be right in the heart of the action so it is convenient to return at any time. With this hotel, to get to the action, you must cross a very busy highway, and then travel for about 10-15 minutes down another busy, noisy highway. The taxi ride is about 10 Euros and, due to traffic, only saved us about 5 minutes.

Any easy correction to this would be for the G to provide shuttle service to the main area in Galway.

the best hotel we've stayed in yet! we loved the decor - funky but very tasteful. The outside felt a little dowdy but the second you are met at the door - everythging changes. The service was perfect and the hard-working staff are to be highly recommended! Nothing was ever too much trouble for them throughout our 7 days. We were immediately upgraded on arrival - which wasn't expected! The room was wonderful and very spacious - the bed was the most comfortable bed ever and you're guaranteed an excellent night's sleep. The hotel spa was great too - highly recommended.
we have told our friends about it, and we will definitely be back!

Loved this hotel. Based on the reviews I was not dissapointed and would definitly stay here again as it makes for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff are warm and friendly. The room very comfortable, the facilities excellent and the breakfast - was impressive too.

I have fallen in love with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of luxary in Galway.

I will definitely go back.

I only stayed one night in this hotel and I just wish I had more time.From the moment we entered the hotel we were impressed- the fun, quirky ,flamboyant decor was a feast for the eyes plus the staff were so professional welcoming warm and helpful.The outside of the hotel does not do the interior justice.It is a real surprise to enter into this other world.We had a superior room that was an oasis of calm - subtle ,elegant deor and the most comfy of beds.I am looking forward to staying there again!
