Stayed in this hotel back in January . My husband had booked this hotel for my Birthday as a special treat they had no family rooms available in the hotel so they suggested we stayed in one of there apartment which they advised us was connected to the hotel what a disaster the apartment is not connected to hotel and we had to cross two busy roads in galway to get to the hotel each morning for breakfast with two young children bear in mind this was January and the weather was bad we has to put coats on in order to go for breakfast it is about 5minutes walk from hotel. This apartment is in a ordinary apartment complex in Galway city this we were not told of the receptionist on booking had promised us it was connected to the hotel and led us beleived deliberately apartment was on the same grounds as hotel .this did not give us any experience of the hotel at all even the tioletries were also sub - standard we also did,nt have he security at night of the hotel and had ahobo sleeping outside the apartment complex
Having a drink at night was a disaster as the kids had to be out of the bar by 7pm which meant we had to go back to our apartment at this time
Shame on this Hotel we were a young family wanting to spend and celebrate a special birthday in Galway wih our children and this Hotel ruined this for us .
When we did complain the reception was very arrogant and very dismissive of us saying the hotel was completely booked they had all the right word,s but done nothing to assist us .
This hotel is good for sunday afternoon bar lunches the decor is a throw back to the seventies and very dated .
Good hotel for inexperienced American tourist ,not for families with young children
Hated this hotel and the fast one they pulled on us they even had a cheek to charge us more for the apartment . Shame on the management of this hotel . I will never reccommend this hotel and a much better option in Galway city is the Raddisson Hotel.
