Absolutely fantastic hotel, stayed for 2 nights the hotel is lovely, staff friendly and the breakfast was really good too. The hotel is ideally situated for the town centre and if you are arriving by bus/train the station is a one minute walk around the corner. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, we booked through hotels.com and got a really good deal too, Did not try the restuarant but judging by its popularity it is probably decent as well. I would not hesitate to book here again

Hi
we stopped at this hotel for 3 nights, with a special deal which included 2 dinners. the rooms were super, the choice of meals and service faultless. the weather in Ireland was not good but the friendliness of the staff both in the bar and restaurant certainly made a what could have been a dreadful holiday into one that was memorable.

  • Liked — food and ambiance of the hotel

We were very impressed with the Park House Hotel - the decor and facilities were excellent. Our room, a standard room (which they call "superior") was nicely decorated and a good size, with large double bed, a sofa, table and chairs. Also had a mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was lovely too, with bath and a very good shower. Only minus - I don't like these wall-mounted hairdriers that a lot of hotels have (the hose type).

To open the windows, you had to reach quite high up to the window catches, and they had even thought to put a step-stool in the wardrobe.
The car park at the rear of the hotel is quite small, but we were lucky - someone drove out just as we arrived. However there is a multi-storey car park just next to it if you cannot find a place in the hotel park.
The position of the hotel is excellent - easy to walk to all the pubs, shops and restaurants - and there are some excellent restaurants in Galway. I'm afraid we didn't get to try the hotel restaurant for dinner, but we thought the breakfast was very good.

Very good value for money, especially after Dublin, where everything seemed very expensive.

  • Liked — Well furnished and decorated. Also, helpful staff
  • Disliked — Would prefer a proper hand-held hairdrier.
  • Tips/Secrets: — Take a trip out to Salthill and walk along the bay.

We booked an excellent rate on Hotels.com for a double room for two nights. We had a superb stay especially given the poor weather outside this hotel made our stay in Galway memorable. The hotel is very nicely furnished and provides all the amenities one expects from a top level hotel (turn down service, newspapers etc). Our room was very nice. Breakfast was a pleasure. One of the best aspects of this hotel are the friendly helpful staff. From the well dressed bar men to the house keepers.

It is well located in the centre of Galway - driving instruction from the website directed us to the hotel parking service that is provided at no extra cost.

Highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The main floor of the hotel is nice, but the rooms are old and in need of renovation. We were not at all impressed. The blow dryer was attached to the wall and looked like the end of a vaccum hose. Needless to say, it did not really work as a blow dryer - pony tail day after a shower here. The bed was also not very comfortable. Luckily we only stayed here one night.

The Park House location is great, but if you stay at the Dromoland Castle the night before, you may want to skip this hotel.
