Had three glorious nights there and didn't want to leave! It is a stunning hotel and each employee we encountered acted as if we were the only guests they had to worry about. We were kindly upgraded to a suite in the older section of the hotel, but the beautiful furnishings and decor is the same regardless of the room. The bed was to die for, and the remodeled marble bathroom had one of the best showers ever. The hotel is right in Glaway, but a block off the main square, so undoubtedy quieter than the Great Southern Hotel, which faces the busy town park. Breakfast was sumptious and drinks on one of the cozy lobby sofas was a real treat. We think Galway is overlooked- it is a charming "big" village with wonderful restaurants, shops and sweet historic streets, and of course the beautiful bay. Treat yourself to a non-touristy excursion in this beautiful part of Ireland and definitely stay at The Park.

We arrived early at the Park House Hotel from Shannon and were greeted with warmth and extraordinary kindness. We paid a reasonable rate on hotels.com yet they gave us the first available room, which was a lovely suite. It was the perfect start to our great adventure in Ireland. The hotel is clean and luxurious--the food is great. We can't imagine that there's a better place to stay in Galway!

Myself and my husband got married on Sunday the 27th August, 2006 and on Monday the 28th August, 2006 we went to stay in the fabulous hotel for 3 nights with 2 meals included. As my father had passed away 4 weeks previously and his 1 month mass was on the Friday after our wedding we decided to spend our short honeymoon there. I have to say I was thrilled when we walked into the reception area. The welcome from the receptionist was undoubtedly the best I had received. It was a lovely warm welcome and a lovely start to our stay. We were going to bring our large suitcase with us in the lift to the bedroom but the receptionist insisted that someone will bring it up shortly. We were only in our room for 1 minute when the porter arrived with our luggage. All I can say is that we were impressed with the quickness of the porter. The next day we got up late and missed breakfast (which we do all of the time don't know why) and decided to order room service. When the room service arrived the gentleman had a smile on his face which i have to say is nice to see. The bedrooms themselves are very clean and spacious, the food in the restaurant is out of this world and I know my food. The service was very good and very friendly. I also have to put this down, the hotel has an area for smoking in the car park with lovely seating areas with tables, carpet on the ground and lovely plants to make the guests feel that they are not excluded just because they smoke which I have to say is a lovely touch. I was very impressed with this hotel and I would recommend it to any of my friends and my work colleagues. Good work Park House Hotel.

We truly felt pampered and welcomed at this hotel. Only complaint is that we had three children traveling with us (one in a baby cot) and this was the only hotel that we had to get two rooms because they said their double room didn't have enough room for the cot. But looking at a travelers photo on this site of a room with two beds, it looks like there is room for a baby cot.

Overall though I have to say I felt welcomed from the moment the concierge approached me to park our car. The hotel attendants were all very nice striking up friendly conversation, asking about our day and what we went to see and extremely accomodating in helping us find great places to eat in Galway and even set up our reservations to dine at a castle for us. We have stayed in hundreds of places and resorts and I would recommend this convenient and lovely hotel to everyone. There is even a great pub across the street with musicians playing and even a couple of Irish dancers.
