We stayed in the Park House Hotel for 4 nights during May and had a fantastic time! The room was charming, the service was gracious and the location was spectacular! We would definitely go back! The only draw back was we were placed in a non-renovated room, which was lovely, just a little small.

We stayed in the Park House Hotel for just a couple of nights and picked it because of its central location and the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor.
In some ways, its a typical Irish Hotel; not brash or slick, but homely in a very friendly sort of way. In other aspects, its far from typical. Its efficient, spotless and very well looked after. The staff are a mixture of Eastern European and Irish with a smattering of students from the University of Galway. Whoever trains them in customer service deserves a medal. Every single one of them was kind and anxious to make our stay a pleasure.
I've stayed in an awful lot of seedy, run down, hotels in Ireland (and especially Dublin). The Park House Hotel is the glorious exception to all these experiences. If you go to Galway then don't think of staying anywhere else.

Stayed here 2 nights midweek in early March 2006. Got a good rate including one hotel dinner for 2, which turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. I brought an old college friend here as part of his first trip to ireland, and we had a fantastic double room. The hotel pub had the best oysters of our week long trip and the people were as friendly and helpful as they had been during my family's stay the previous June. If you want to stay in downtown Galway and are willing to pay a little more, the Park House should be your choice!

My husband and I stayed at the Park House Hotel for 3 nights over St. Patricks day and really enjoyed our stay. We had booked a three night package with 2 dinners per person included. I was a bit worried about the dinners as I have had experiences in this kind of situation (fixed menu) that were not the greatest. My worries were not needed at all. The fixed dinner menu was FANTASTIC. You also had the option of choosing from the regular menu for certain courses if you so desired (if your total "bill" exceeded the amount allocated for the fixed menu, you would simply charge the difference to your room). The meals that we had at the Park House were amoung our favorites that we had during our two week trip to Ireland.

The only downside to the hotel was that our room was in need of updating (curtains/bedspreads etc.). It was a good room that looked into a courtyard that was not actually accessible, probably because it was so cold. The room was very quiet. The pub at the Park House was good as well, perfect for a Guinness after walking around Galway all day!
