Generally below average for a modern 4* hotel. The T.V remote in our room did not work and the washhand basin would not empty. Having received our starters in the restaurant we were informed that one of the main courses selected was not avilable. Restaurant menu is very old fashioned. Overall a hotel well past its best.

My wife and I stayed one weekend at the Park House; everything was perfect. The room was clean and well decorated, the staff as great, the restaurant one of the best and the central location helped in our tour of Galway.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and will certainly stay at the Park House again when we return yo Galway.

This is certainly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in. It's a full service kind of place: Wi-Fi, belhops, porters, the whole nine yards. The breakfast was fantastic: fresh fruit salad, various cereals, pastry, bread, etc. and eggs/bacon to order

All of the staff have a bottle of brass polish in their hands and are continuously cleaning and polishing. It seems like the kind of place popular with tour groups because each morning there were a bunch of people aggregating in the first floor lobby area before they hopped on a bus and departed.

We hadn't anticipated that it would be a problem to park our minibus that we were using to tour the country but the guys working the parking area fit us in and were very pleasant about it even though it was a tight squeeze. They also helped make some recommendations about good routes to go touring around during the day.

The rooms themselves were a little smaller than I would've expected (about average for a European room), but they had a love seat and a table along with a desk so it made relaxing before bed pretty nice.

If money were no object, we'd stay here again without a second thought. However, this was the most expensive place we stayed at during our trip and I can't say that all of the extra amenities were worth it for our group ... We picked Park House because it seemed like a 'safe' choice after some of the other hotels in Galway all seemed to have their own issues (especially regarding noise outside at night).

Thanks to TripAdvisor reviews, we booked a same-day reservation at this property for one night. What a find! We were able to take advantage of a mid-week special internet rate. Definitely a value.

The hotel has upscale, old world charm combined with modern convenience and comfort. The helpful, friendly staff made us feel welcome. We walked in around 11 a.m. to inquire about availability and the front desk immediately found us rooms and allowed us to check in.

We had a very good dinner in the hotel restaurant -- pricey, but not overpriced given our experience elsewhere. The hotel carpark was a great added benefit as was the central location.

We didn't have much time to explore Galway as we were here primarily as a stopping point on our Ireland tour. After finding the Park House Hotel, we were glad we decided on Galway -- this comfortable stay was a treat.
