Just returned from the Park House , our 7th or 8th visit here .No point in repeating what everyone else says, this is one of the best hotels in Ireland . However, this time we had a gripe , our room .Now we have sayed in many different rooms in the park House, but this one was a bit of a let down .It is one the first floor, and has quite high ceilings, not a problem in itself, but the room was not properly cleaned, dust seemed to be evident in quite a few spots, not what we have been used to in this hotel . This room is also a bit dated in design , these may be minor things, but they did seem to put us off a litle, compared to our previous visits here .
Having mentioned the room, i must mention the staff, who were their usual excellant selves . The service is genuine, and never seems fawning or insincere . In particular, the restaurant is superb . The quality of the food is unmatched, and along with an excellent restaurant manager makes the whole experience one not to be missed. When you are booking do not be tempted to book a room only option, go for the all in deal including dinner, you wont regret it

Great hotel, great location in Galway city very near Eyre Sq, Train Station and Bus Station. There is parking available with concierge. Breakfast was the best I have experienced from a hotel, loads to choose from and continental breakfast is superb.
The location is great for those who want both the thrills of Galway city and the ability to explore surrounding area.

We enjoyed our third short visit to the Park House, excellently located in Galway's attractive city centre and very close to the train and intercity bus stations. This is a well run four star in a cunningly converted old building. Despite its central location, it has (limited) complimentary parking for residents in its own space.

The largely windowless public areas are over furnished, over decorated and poorly lit. However, all the rooms we have used were bright, spacious and well equipped.

The elegant restaurant serves an excellent breakfast with hot food cooked to order. It's also seems a popular venue for dinner. Room service was unusually quick.

The staff are pleasant and helpful.

This was one of our stops during our tour of western Ireland. The room was rather small. Bed linens were not of the highest quality. Considering this is the highest rated hotel in Galway, I did not see the luxury that we found in other places in Ireland.

The room and the bathroom were very clean, as well as the other parts of the hotel.

Breakfast was served in a restaurant off the main lobby.
There was a tour bus being served, but the wait staff was well able to handle the crowd. Food was good, but not great.

There were two great things about this hotel. It is close to the center of the city with secure parking. In Galway, that is an important consideration.

Finally, the young man at the front desk was friendly and helpful. He gave us recommendations and maps of the area. He seemed genuinely interested in us and that we have a good time in Galway.
