If you want to be in the centre of Galway and within walking distance of the pubs, shopping etc.. Than this is the place for you.... Of course everything comes at a price... It has a tndancy to bcome noisy in the evenings which is to be expected with a location like this. Rooms are surprisingly big with modern deco, bathrooms are also well equpped...
Staff are very helpfull and always ready for a helping hand. A Polish night porter was exceptionally friendly helping us carry bags and giving us tips about the area...that is an added plus!

We spent a night in August 2012 during our trip around Ireland. The hotel is very centrally located, walking distance to everything. It's looking out onto a big square, but the street in front is a pedestrian road. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast room is nice and cosy. Our room was clean and nicely furnished, big enough with a nice bathroom. We also joined the 2 hours walking tour which is offered for free, and very enjoyable. Galway is a cosy city and nice to visit. We wouldn't hesitate to come back!

We stayed here for one night while exploring Ireland and were very please. Great price, has bar(s) and restaurant attached, friendly staff. Room wa quite large, hotel very centrally located (on Eyre Square). They are very upfront that they cannot guarantee quiet throughout the night due to proximity to city centre and pubs, but we didn't really experience anything out of the ordinary for a city property, and even had our window open all night. They do have AC if you are looking for that in the summertime. Pub was great, they have 6 seperate bar area and extensive drink selection. Not at all stingy on food, our chicken Caesar had more chicken then lettuce! Quite good. Bartender was great, I hate sweet drinks an shots, he suggested a shot I had never tried and love it! New favorite! Also went out of his way to make a dirty martini as they didn't have olive juice at the bar. Really impressed with service! They do lock the doors at night, but we're great about instructing us to ring doorbell. We ended up staying at the hotel pub so did not need to untilize. Breakfast served in lovely room, and nice selection. Only word of caution... We had a very difficult time locating it. Thankfully when I called the girl told us it was "behind the barriers on the pedestrian side" and we finally figured out what that meant. Our gps could only place us two doors down and we couldn't see down the pedestrian sidewalk. I finally found it because I looked at the pic of the hotel on their website. We parked in the Fairgreen parking garage (the hotel gives 50% off price of €20 for 24 hours here and i believe at Hynes - see their website) and then walked our luggage although she said we could have pulled up to barriers and dropped. Not being used to driving on the left side of the road, and with the parking do's/dont's we were a little unsure and just played it safe with the garage. If you park at Fairgreens, park on 4th floor and you walk out at street level and hotel is 2 blocks. Take ticket, hotel will validate. Great experience, would return and definitely recommend!

This hotel has no place to drop off luggage. We had to park 3 blocks away and carry our luggage in the pouring rain. The rooms were tiny, outdated and there was moldy grout in the shower. Gross! We tried to get out of our second night but they have a 48 hour cancellation policy. We left anyway as we couldn't stand another night

A large group of us stayed here for hen. The hotel was in the middle of everything with reduced rates for the nearby public car park.
We ate in the hotel for dinner and breakfast the food was really good quality at a very reasonable price. The dinner was a set menu with at least four options for each course. The breakfast was room service and faultless.
The rooms were spacious but slightly grubby. Nothing major the sheets were clean. There were just a few details that could have done with a little more attention. The room smelled a little musty upon arrival. The shower had a little mould, glasses werent very clean and walls had some marks. All things that are easily rectified. All things that really didn't matter in comparision to the stand out customer service. I probably should have mentioned these things at check out but really the experience was so good they really didn't colour my opiniion overall.
Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and easy going. From Stephen at checkout to Aidan in the residents bar to the night porter. I have yet to meet any team as helpful.
