“Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Excellent B&B. Not in the centre of the city but well worth the short taxi / drive / beautiful walk along the sea front. Padraig could not be more helpful, rooms were clean & comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Padraic was very welcoming and friendly. Couldn't help you enough. Lovely house. Great breakfast room with individual tables. Fantastic big breakfast. - breads, cereals, juice, fruit, cheeses, toast, full Irish. Lovely helpful staff. Room 2 was big with a Queen bed plus a single bed. Windows open for fresh air. Modern bathroom with shower cubicle. Bus stop into Galway is yards away. Bus 401. Galway day pass 3.70 Euros. Very easy to get to the centre of Galway on the bus. Every 1/2 hour past the door. It's actually 1/2 hour walk to Salthill but get a bus daypass and you can get there in minutes. Take the bus on the front for Salthill. Bus 402. Lots of pubs, restaurants and even slots!!

Room Tip: Room 2 has a queen bed and a single bed.

My experience there was very pleasant. The staff was very nice and friendly. They were very accomodating. It's not near the city center. You have to take a cab or drive to get anywhere so if that is important, this may not work for you.

This bed and breakfast was a great expeience, the rooms were modern the bungalow was well looked after. The room was really warm at night even with the window open, and the mattress was uncomfortable. Great value and service, highly recommend a stay

Having staying in numerous places in Galway, this is the best there is. A small bit out of the city, but well worth the extra distance.
The owner and the other staff could not be any more accommodating and were extremely friendly to boot.
The breakfast was freshly prepared using the freshest ingredients, I cannot recall a better breakfast anywhere in Ireland. I note others have mentioned this, they are not wrong!
If coming to Galway and you don't want to be stuck in the noisier parts of the city, do not think of staying anywhere else!

Room Tip: The upstairs room was excellent, very large and very clean, a pleasure to speak in.

Stayed at the Ard Mhuire for one night in April. One of the best B+B's I have stayed at. Padraic was very friendly and helpfull, breakfast was extra good. Shall stay again, hopefully to go fishing next time.
