Stayed at days for 3 nights at the end of Aug...Excellent !
We are in the hospitality biz ourselves & I have to say that if there had been any issues the staff more than made up for it. They got the age old formula spot on...keep the kids happy & the parents will be happy! We booked directly with hotel as website dosn't allow for connectiong room reservation. Three nights, 2 x rooms interconnecting 3xB&B + 2xDinner all for just €650...great value to include kids club each day (normally a daily suppliment of €30) & kids get to eat as a group between 5 + 6pm supervised. the only flaw was that the kids club was for 3+ leaving our youngest out of the picture & the club only runs during summer & school holidays for obvous reasons. Pool area was fab, seperate kids pool & main pool divided into swimming lanes & general area which is quite shallow (approx 3 feet) so kids can stand with 2 corners with bubble features, hey for families its a great pool! Seperate health suite corner for adults only.
Rooms we stayed in are new & I believe the previous rooms (during its time as the galway ryan) are refurbed also with new serviced apartment options I think. Food is at a level i would describe as quite good for hotel grub. Location is just a stones throw from city, or a quick drive or on bus route. If all else fails there is a cinema within walking distance (4-500mtrs) beside a toy dept store if you dare & eddie rockets burger joint. But if you do go anywhere near galway with kids visit turore (or something like that spelling) animal farm near Loughrea (30 min drive)...a few petting animals but fantastic play facilities inside & out for the kids, check it out. Bottom line...would we go back? Definitely!
