We met friends here for a 2 night stay at the end of June and had a very pleasant stay - no complaints at all. The hotel was clean, breakfast great and comfy beds. the only thing was that as both non smokers, our room obviuosly was a smoking room, and there was a very distinct smell in the room.

It was in quite a good location and we walked to town on the Sat during the day and then went for a great meal at the huntsman on Sat night then a fab night at the dog racing, both of which were very close to the hotel.

I've stayed at the Days a few times and found it fine - friendly staff, clean and comfortable. However my most recent stay had a few problems:
1. I asked for non-smoking and although there was a non-smoking sign in the room, it stank of stale smoke. In fact, the entire landing area outside smelled like cigarettes.
2. The ironing board was in a ridiculous place and could not be accessed without pulling out the beside locker and climbing over the bed. I actually kneeled on the locker to iron my shirt!
3. The young male member of staff who delivered my room service had very poor hygiene and left my room smelling of body odour for 10 mins after he left. Simply not good enough for the services industry.
4. The restaurant is very average. Breakfast is not great - there is no fresh fruit. I've had dinner in the restaurant twice and won't be eating there again. The Orchid next door is better but I'd walk five minutes to The Huntsman instead.
The hotel is generally clean and spacious and I'm sure great for families. The pool and gym are great.

we had a great time at the Days..we could walk into town daily. The breakfast was great and we even had dinner at the Orchid restaurant. The spa was great too.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have booked to go back again in October. Its a great hotel but especially for families.
There is a leisure centre here, a kids club which entertains kids practically all day, and there is a new Thai restaurant as well, which I have yet to experience.

The breakfast is great as there is huge selection to choose from, the food in the restaurant however can be hit and miss.
