Just back from the Days and found it above average overall
Reception = Excellent
Food = Poor
Leisure Centre = Very Good Slightly dated
Rooms = Roomy but cold
Location = Out of city. Taxi €6, not too dear
Drink = Fine
Staff = Very pleasant
Suitable for = Young families as the facilities are designed for them in mind
The rooms are not too small and nicely decorated
in modern colours. The Breakfast was a very good
Buffet and certain worth getting up for, with alot of choice. It's a 25 min walk to the city centre which is possible draw back. This view is based on the price of the hotel and the 3* rating.
We stayed 7 nights and got a great rate from AAA for a King Suite - 98 euro. The King Suite was great since we were visiting my daughter attending NUI Galway and the extra room was handy. The Suite had an extra room attached with a couch, TV, and small kitchenette. Also, breakfast and Internet service (via TV) was included in the price. The staff provided a roll-away bed for no charge for a couple of nights. The room was very clean, comfortable, and everything was like new. We had dinner one night in the Hotel restaurant, but it wasn't great. I recommend going into downtown Galway to eat - lots of great restaurants. Overall the staff was friendly and courteous. The Hotel is quite convenient to everything especially if you have a car. The Lobby and Lounge were both very large and comfortable, great places to relax and have a drink with friends or family.
I stayed two nights at the Days Hotel in Galway and really enjoyed it.
The hotel itself is beauitful and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was very stylish, really felt like a treat eating here, and again the waitresses were all so helpful and efficient.
The food was lovely too, I had a lovely four course meal as part of my package, where I stayed for 2 nights and had one evening meal, it was great value. Breakfast was also included, it was a fully stocked buffet with the full irish and lots of fruits, yoghurts and bread, it was lovely.
The leisure centre was gorgeous too, all in all I was treated like royalty and the surroundings were so luxurious, I can't wait to go back.
