Family of 2 adults & 2 kids stayed for two nights in two inter connecting rooms. On arrival at about 3:30pm we were told our rooms weren't ready even though check in time was from 3:00pm onwards .The receptionist suggested we "go off for a while" and come back.
When we eventually got to our rooms, they were clean, fresh and well presented. However as it turned out the beds were very uncomfortable & narrow and led to two very bad nights sleep,
Used the leisure centre, couldn't really fault it. However I think €2.50 for a swim cap is a bit steep, also why are residents asked for a deposit (albeit refundable) for a locker ???
Only used the restaurant for breakfast which was buffet style. Food was plentiful & varied however on one of our two mornings it was cold and that was at about 9:00am - neither early or late.
Any staff we encountered were polite & friendly. If you're considering a short break in Galway I'd suggest you shop around - I'd say there's a lot better value for money in Galway City.
