Excellent value for money on this hotel. The facilities were great, the staff couldnt have been more helpful and polite, and very little of the meal could be faulted.
Very well maintained large hotel just on the outskirts of the main city centre.

Stayed her with my wife and a couple of friends for 2 nights in September.
It`s a large modern hotel on the outskirts of Galway city and pretty much as you`d expect of a 3* of this type.
Check-in and check-out were fine.There`s plenty of parking right outside the hotel which is off the main road.
Rooms were a reasonable size,clean and the supply of towels and toiletries were fine.Tv in the room.Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and a safe which although they say they charge for,in fact they don`t(or at least they didn`t charge us when we asked about it).Bathroom was exactly as you`d expect in a fairly typical modern large chain hotel.No complaints.
Breakfast is buffet self service and is perfectly good standard.
The bar is large with big TV and there was entertainment on one of the evenings we stayed,traditional Irish songs and it was a busy and enjoyable evening for the part we stayed for.
The hotel caters for large coach parties and that seemed a big part of its clintele--at least 4 coaches while we were there,usually staying overnight as they tour around Ireland.The hotel is busy in the evening as a result and though we didn`t eat there in the evening,this might be a problem in the restaurant.
The walk into galway City is about 30 mins and is not nice--basically very boring and along main roads-it`s certainly not a pleasant stroll.Taxi is a better option if you want to have a drink in the city.Also,of a morning the rush hour traffic into the city is very bad and if you were driving into the city from the hotel,leave outside the rush hour or you`ll have to allow quite a while.
Overall impression was I`d stay again if the price was right but ideally I`d prefer to be in the city itself to avoid the long walk or a taxi ride or the traffic.
For the best oysters and prawns and peaceful location visit Morans ouside the city--get directions and go there--it`s excellent.

location:15 mins walk to the centre of galway.very accessible and easy to find.driving into town is a better option.

lobby & rooms: the lobby are is quite big and nicely decorated.very comfortable.the rooms are a decent size,clean and have sat tv.

bar & food:the bar area is very big,more like a spacious lounge.we ate in the restaurant one evening and in my opinion it was not good at all.one of the worst meals i ever had to be honest.having said that the breakfast was brilliant,buffet style.

extras:the room rate we got was quite reasonable.the leisure centre is quite a good facility.

this hotel is a bit far out but quite comfortable.

I stayed at Days Hotel Galway in May and loved it. Though the hotel is so big you feel as though you're walking around an airport, the standard of the room and the price make it well worth that extra walk to and from the room! The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the Room Service. The breakfast that was delivered was inedible- soggy, undercooked and freezing. But when I mentioned it to the Receptionist upon departure there was no problem in removing the charge. The only thing I regret was not using the leisure facilities as they looked fabulous. All in all a great cheap stay at a lovely 3 star hotel.
