We stayed at St Judes in June 2006 as part of our first leg of honeymoon (2nd leg spent in Greece). The property is absolutely beautiful and the stay was great. The house is 5 mins walk to local bars/sea and a 5 min taxi ride to city centre. There are a good choice of places to eat in walking distance or take a quick cab ride into Galway City. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. The breakfast was great. The overall experience was brilliant. We stayed one night, then visited family in other parts of Ireland and came back to St Judes for the last night as we flew back from Galway airport. I would definately stay again.
Galway is a vibrant city and I would love more time to explore.

Stayed in Galway here at St Judes. Beautiful little B+B that is close to the water, and a sort walk to the centre of town.

Friendly owners always made you feel at home and served a great breakfast the next day!!

Rooms were very clean (and large). Large sitting rooms also available.

Lots of parking available off street as well.

If I ever go back to Galway, I will still here again.

Wonderful old renovated Victorian home 20 minute walk to City Centre and 10 minute walk to sea promenade. Hard location to find but good instructions on how to get there.

Rooms with ensuite are lovely with TV and wonderful furnishings and bedding. No bottled water, Internet, DVD player, safe or in-room coffee (the things tourists are looking for).

Better than a hotel and most B&Bs - great parking.

This was run like a business and the only B&B in 4 weeks were we had to pre-pay.

Excellent breakfast that included french toast with real Canadian Maple Syrup (a nice change). Excellent showers - best anywhere!

We arrived 2 hours early in the driving rain and were provided hot tea and a bisquit within 30 seconds, our room was ready in 5 minutes. The room was spacious and as comfortable as a 4-star hotel is expected to be, only decorated with antiques. The dining room was something out of a Jane Austen novel. The staff was charming, this was a perfect experience, amazing for the price. Buses passed the front door every 15 minutes and whisked you to the lower city center in 5 minutes, Eyre Square in 8. One of the highlights of a 5-week trip through Europe

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at St. Jude's on a recent cycling trip in Ireland. Lovely St. Jude's in Salthill was truly fantastic! The Johnstone family are wonderful hosts, and daughter Sinead a Chef! We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to have dinner at St. Jude's. It was outstanding! As was our full Irish breakfast. St. Jude's is beautiful, with tile and stained glass throughout. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the front garden, and was so nicely appointed and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Jude's and in pretty Salthill, and wished we could have stayed longer. We would highly recommend St. Jude's to everyone. It was superb in every respect!
