My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at St. Jude's on a recent cycling trip in Ireland. Lovely St. Jude's in Salthill was truly fantastic! The Johnstone family are wonderful hosts, and daughter Sinead a Chef! We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to have dinner at St. Jude's. It was outstanding! As was our full Irish breakfast. St. Jude's is beautiful, with tile and stained glass throughout. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the front garden, and was so nicely appointed and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Jude's and in pretty Salthill, and wished we could have stayed longer. We would highly recommend St. Jude's to everyone. It was superb in every respect!

building work is still going on

breakfast lovely

walk to galway centre 15 mins left

walk to the prom 5 mins right

no tea and coffe in room so the shop next door does this if after a long journey

We loved St. Judes. Room #1 is beautiful. The breakfast excellent. Ida was so helpful with dinner suggestions and places of intrest.We were there when the construction was going on but we didn't hear a thing.It was one of our favorites in Ireland. I would highly recommend this B&B

We stayed two nights in May of 2005. Our room overlooked the front courtyard and was tastefully decorated. The breakfast was served in the first floor dining room and was wonderful. The home and the property are located in a nice neighborhood and are well maintained. We liked it so much, we tried to stay again in May of 2006, however, they did not have rooms available. A testament of their service I assume. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

We were disappointed as soon as we drove in the driveway! Arrived to a construction site in the driveway outside our bedroom window. Our first opportunity to catch some shut-eye from travels was thwarted by hammering on the other side of our bedroom wall. We could have been advised of construction while making our reservation (in which case, we would have reserved elsewhere.) Although others may find the location convenient, we would have preferred to stay closer to City Center. Best feature--breakfast selections and preparations were the best of our 8 B&B Ireland stays.

We very much regret that these visitors were disturbed.
Construction refers to an extended dining room and new kitchen which will, hopefully, further enhance facilities for our customers. Every effort has been made to minimize impact on guests with workers starting at 9 am and finishing at 5:30 sharp and no work at weekends. We expect to have completed by end of July.
