St. Jude's is quite a wonderful B&B. Wandering through the rooms and the small but exquisite terraced garden gave us a sense of timelessness. The house is a treasure, Ita was a most gracious host and her assistant very charming. We soaked up the atmosphere while we savored the delicious and beautifully served breakfast. This house is immaculately kept and we both decided that should we be back in Galway City in the future we'll be sure to visit St. Jude's again. I've stayed in many B&B's in Ireland; this house will not fade from my memory as often happens with others.

  • Liked — The atmosphere and the sense of history in the house
  • Disliked — room a bit small but without our gigantic suitcases it would have been just fine - much storage space for anyone staying more than one night.

St Jude's is a great place to stay. It is about a 15 minute walk to Galway City Center. It is located in the suburb of Salthill. It is only a 5 minute walk to the Salthill promenade.

Our room was lovely. It was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good.

We would stay here again! Thank you!

We stayed at St. Jude's during the first week of October. While the management is certainly very professional, they were extremely nice to us and allowed us to check in at a very early time when we arrived well ahead of our planned time. The location is fantastic, just about a twenty minute walk to the city centre, which is brilliant, and a ten minute walk to the pier. I highly recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Galway, a fantastic breakfast, and an accommodating host!

Very clean and well decorated. A rich victorian ladies feel to it. The room was small, however, with not much room for luggage. Breakfast was very good. Location was decent, but don't arrive at rush hour!!!

We loved staying at St. Judes. Ita and her daughter were very accomodating. The beds and sheets were so comfortable! We even stayed at Ashford Castle one night of our trip and their beds were no where as comfortable. We had dinner one night, and it was so good and a lot of it! We couldn't even start the desert. This home is very beautiful and not very far from the city centre. We drove as it is not difficult to drive in Galway, but the bus stop is right outside the gated lawn and parking for guests.

Thank you Ita Johnstone! Our stay was wonderful.
