“GREAT GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We have some here twice in one week we enjoyed it so much. We loved the lunch specials and they had great tea! Most of the dishes can be changed to gluten free options and they have a wide and varied menu. The staff and owner are all very friendly and hands on. The place is clean and bright and has a great buzz about it.

“Friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We stopped in Oughterard for a family lunch and were attracted to The Boat Inn. With no free tables left out in the sun, we were happy enough to sit indoors where it was (a bit) cooler… We were greeted and seated straight away by friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Not a typical Irish bar in décor, it’s bright and airy, mostly laid out for casual dining. GAA football was being shown on the TV, which was fine as it seemed to draw the interest of most of the clientele. Lunch menu in the Bar was short but had something to suit most tastes. We did think the prices were a little dear for what we got, although they were probably average for the location, if you take account of their prominent position in the village and the time of year (height of tourist season). Food was decent and service was friendly, polite and efficient.

“lovely lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

This is a really lovely place for lunch.we stopped for lunch and we both had the Salmon plates with some lovely Brown bread, it was good food and reasonablely priced. The staff were nice and pleasant. I was impressed with how the staff dealt with the table beside us as the customers were rude and demanding but the staff were still polite and pleasant even with the banging on the table.

“Irish breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We were recommended from our hostel to have breakfast here, so we came and were received for a smiled guy who took the order quick and easy. The food was delicious and we didn't need to have lunch! Sunny day, we stayed outdoors. Good price and excellent quality and quantity

“Top quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

We had soup and chowder for starters, they were both excellent! We then had salmon and lamb, both of which were flavour intense and filling. They were very reasonably priced! The service was great. Only disappointment was not having enough room to indulge in dessert (which looked amazing!)
