Had a great night here. Our room was upgraded because it was available so we got the Salmon Weir room! We liked it so much we wanted to stay another night but they were booked so David found us another place to go to - wow what service!!

We stayed in the Salmon Weir room for three nights during Galway Races week -- a quiet respite from the noise and activity just a 5-10 minute walk away in the center of town. The room was just as depicted in the photographs, very nicely furnished, and very clean. We opened the window overlooking the river to hear the water rushing by and watched the fishermen and the swans. The breakfasts were delicious. We chatted with David at breakfast our first morning, and with his wife on our last morning, but otherwise came and went unnoticed and undisturbed. We were the only guests that weekend. It was considerably more expensive than alternatives we considered out in Salthill, but I am glad we chose Corrib House. We will definitely stay there again if we ever have the pleasure of returning to Galway (hopefully during a less crazy week).

We had the Salmon Weir suite overlooking the river for 2 nights which was beautiful and allowed us to enjoy the music from the Galway Arts festival. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. David even sorted out our car parking and loaned us a book for visit to the Aran islands. A delightful B&B which made our stay in Galway very special.

Room Tip: Get the Salmon Weir room if you can.

After leaving it late to find somewhere to stay in Galway, my hunt on Trip Advisor paid off as The Corrib Guest House thankfully had a room available and we could not have been happier.

The Guest House is located 5 minutes away from the centre looking out onto the Corrib river, which is a blessing if want to get away from the noise of the nightlife. The room itself was a great size and catered for our needs.

The guest house runs as a tea room during the day, which we offered free teas and coffees due to being guests. The complimentary breakfasts were fantastic and due to this we went for lunch one afternoon and had the same results.

Due to its fantastic location we were able to unwind and relax every night infront of the river with a bottle of wine and a few beers.

We could have not been happier with our stay at the Corrib View. Everything from the staff, the room, the food, the location made our extended weekend in Galway a time to remember. Thank you to David, Victoria and their wonderful staff who made us so welcome.

My recent stay at the Corrib House was fantastic. The owner, David, and his staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome as a single traveller. I did not meet the other owner, Victoria, but she was so kind to leave me a takeaway breakfast baggie on my last morning, when I had to leave early to catch a bus to the airport. I stayed in the Corrib View room, which indeed had a beautiful view of the River Corrib, the swans, and the salmon weir. There was a lovely waterfall sound from the salmon weir which, along with the extremely comfortable bed, makes for a great night's sleep. Even the best Galway hotels can be noisy, and although one might oneself have been making some of that noise in the city's fabulous pubs, it is great to leave it behind at a refuge like the Corrib House. The decor was understated and very tasteful (I might have left off the artificial flowers on the desk, but that's a personal taste), and the room was impeccably clean and well-serviced each day. The highlight of the breakfast for me was the freshly made cappuccino (really, the best coffee in the country) and the porridge, although there are many choices on the menu. Corrib House is only a 10-15 walk from Galway's medieval quarter and the Spanish Arch, and a similar distance to the bus and railway stations, making it a great choice for those using public transport. It's my new favorite in Galway, a city I have come back to many times.

Everything about the stay at the Corrib Guest House was lovely. The location along the river, the welcome from the hosts and the staff, the rooms - ask for a river view, the fabulous coffee, amazing pastries and filling breakfast. If they have space just reserve. It's simply perfect.

I was amazed by the photos in their website, but also worried they may be photoshoped. When I arrived, I was very pleased to find the BB is just as lovely as in the photos. It is on a quite corner, but close to many bars and restaurants. It takes about 10 min walk to Galway train station. The young owners, Victoria and Dave, were very nice. The breakfast was very very tasty and I can't get over their delicious scone. We stayed at Corrib View room for 2 night. It is smaller but well-decorated and super clean. I took a sneak peek at other rooms before other guest arrived. The room with tub looks awesome!
