Accommodation: the hotel in general and our room were clean, warm and modern and we were surprised by this after reading previous reviews.

Dining: We ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay as is was part of our package. Had no problems with the food- it wasn't 5* but then the hotel isn't 5*. Good enough choice and reasonably priced. The breakfast was ok too- fair enough choice. BUT what we felt let down by was the dining staff, on our first morning we went down for breakfast and were met by a younh waitress who just about grunted at us, she showed us to our seat and that was it, didn't explain how breakfast was set up and didn't ask us if we wanted tea/ coffee/ toast. I has to ask another waiter for tea and coffee, he promptly came back with the coffee but no tea, so I had to ask for it yet again from another waitress and she didn't come back with it too promply. On one of the nights in the dining room- we ordered wine with our food- 50 minutes later (we had our meal finished at this stage and were waiting for dessert) and the waitress came back to say she forgot about our wine and would we still like it- not good enough. Not once during any of our dining experiences did anyone come and ask us if our food was ok.

Check out- I found the staff at checkout to be unfriendly and extremely rude- the girl slammed the change down and when I asked for a receipt I could have sworn she rolled her eyes up to heaven.There was no thank you for your custom or enjoy your stay infact the girl didnt even say goodbye.

The hotel is seriously lacking good management.

The duty manager who worked on the Friday evening and Saturday morning was RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, CONDESCENDING, and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Our very simple request to alter room bookings was dismissed, He displayed very poor business skills on a Bank Holiday weekend when he could have resold a room that we didn't need, (while we were trying to cancel one of the rooms potential guests were being told on the phone that the hotel was booked out and we had a room to return to them with 24 hours notice ). It was a terrible hotel, dirty, run down, and badly in the need of a major face lift. The buffet food at the breakfast was cold, and left a lot to be desired. The bedrooms were NOT CLEANED PROPERLY!!!!! The staff need proper basic training. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.Our group of 15 who stayed two nights were disgusted with the poor service we received. None of our group will be returning to Flannery's again or advising friends, family or work colleagues to go there all because the manager displayed a seriours lack of professional manners.

My wife and myself stayed in this hotel for four nights on a b&b basis this October. First of all the hotel was a good price and when you stayed for three nights they gave you an extra night free {so see if they have any offers on when you book}. The hotel is pretty standard fare with nothing out of the ordinary.That being said it is clean and well run.The hotel is to far from the city centre to walk being about 25/30 mins. A taxi will cost you about 10 euro . If you like indian food I can not recommend the Kashmir enough.Hope this helps.

I stayed at this hotel recently and found it to be of a very nice standard. The breakfast , bar and staff were of a very high standard. The only problem i found and i must say it wasnt the young receptionists fault, they spend to long on the phone and while i was checking in she took three phonecalls which was extremely frustrating. But other than that very nice stay
