Myself and Two Friends Stayed in this hotel in the first weedend of February. Although the building looks a bit dated inside and out the standards of service and the state of the hotel room made up for this shortcoming. The Triple bedroom was clean and elegently furnished. You did not get the claustiphobic feeling of being in a triple room , unlike previous places heretofore. Breakfast was enjoyable if not brillant. The Hotel Bar was quite lively on the Friday evening [ did not visit it on saturaday ] with guests, local charecters and a band performing.
Although the hotel is outside of Galway City Centre the Sunny weather made walking into town and onwards to Saltill a real pleasure. We came to Galway from Dublin by Bus as the Bus Stop for National Routes is just yards {meters } from the Hotel.
Finally all round Good Value for money and a positive stay.

My boyfriend and i stayed at flannerys late feb 08 and we had an absolute fab time! we were greated by a very welcoming receptionist who directed us to our room which was spacious, immaculate and modern.
We went to a local restuarant called Oscars in Galway city on the fri night and i can honestly say i have never had a nicer meal in my life and i would recommend it to anyone coming to the city!
on the sat night we ate in the hotel restuarant which was well presented and a good quality meal.
Overall i would say we had an enjoyable experience with flannerys and i would definitely stay with them again.

Best Western Flannery's Hotel Galway Ireland

Went to Ireland for our honeymoon in Dec. 2007 the 2 night stay at Best Western was great! The wife wanted to stay more days just because the hotel was so nice. Not like a best western back in the states… this is modern and NICE. I felt like i was spoiled because it was so much better then all the ohter places we had stayed. The room was very clean and spacious, it had a small 19 inch TV and a desk to put your things. The best part for the wife was a built in Hair Blow dryer in the bathroom( ALSO HOT WATER and nice shower). A HUGE plus was the free in room WIFI wireless internet at DLS/ cable modem speeds. Another nice thing about the hotel is that it is located in front of a bus stop… maybe a 1 minute walk to the bus and it comes every 15 min. Free car parking …got to rest the RENTAL!! For me being from the U.S. it was nice to take the bus and not drive on the left. From the bus you can take a 10min ride to Galway city town center. Tons of restaurants, pubs and places to shop right off the Galway centre bus stop. Ask where shop street is … follow the crowd. THE BED WAS KING SIZE first we had in a week!! It was a treat to adventure right off the 10 min. bus ride. We found a deal off hotels.com and have nothing to complain about our stay. Also the staff was very kind and helpful they gave me perfect directions to Athlone and then onto Dublin. Some of the nicest staff we had in our stay in Ireland. This hotel was comparable to a USA Sheraton or upscale Holiday Inn..maybe even something better. Has a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. This place was truly nice and a treat compared to some of the B&Bs we stayed at.

as they say in Ireland ...Thanks a million... Cheers!

I stayed at this hotel in Galway, Ireland on Business in October and was truly impressed and would rate the hotel as follows:

Location: 4/5- I hired a car and drove to the hotel from the airport, its easy to find from Dublin but get the address from their web-site and follow the signs for Galway city east and it will bring you right to the hotel. The city centre is about 5 mins drive from the hotel - they have a free phone taxi service at the hotel to the centre and I asked them to call one on the second night and the taxi was there in 5 mins and I was in the centre in 5 mins - Not bad and it cost €8.

Rooms: 5/5 -Spotless, very well decorated room with bath and shower and duvets which I liked - All the rooms and the downstairs areas have free wifi internet access which was great

Breakfast: 4/5 Good choice on the buffet and they have a hot food carvery at the top of the restaurant with the cooked food which they serve to you - Ask the waiting staff for poached or boiled eggs as they are available but they have to be cooked to order. Very friendly staff which are a credit to the hotel

Dinner: 5/5 I had a la carte dinner the night I arrived and there was a good choice and it was reasonably priced. I ordered the fillet steak medium and it was cooked perfectly. Again very friendly staff - The restaurant is very big and I felt lost there as it was a monday night and not busy - Other than that no complaints

Staff: All staff were top class - friendly, helpful and nothing seemed like too much for them. Also a mention for the friendly cheerful manager who showed me how to work the safe in my room - she certainly knows her stuff and is very professional and welcoming!

All in all I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at this hotel - I will defo suggest returning to the girls as Galway looks like a good lively spot but I didnt get to explore much as I was on my own this time!
