I stayed at this hotel in Galway, Ireland on Business in October and was truly impressed and would rate the hotel as follows:
Location: 4/5- I hired a car and drove to the hotel from the airport, its easy to find from Dublin but get the address from their web-site and follow the signs for Galway city east and it will bring you right to the hotel. The city centre is about 5 mins drive from the hotel - they have a free phone taxi service at the hotel to the centre and I asked them to call one on the second night and the taxi was there in 5 mins and I was in the centre in 5 mins - Not bad and it cost €8.
Rooms: 5/5 -Spotless, very well decorated room with bath and shower and duvets which I liked - All the rooms and the downstairs areas have free wifi internet access which was great
Breakfast: 4/5 Good choice on the buffet and they have a hot food carvery at the top of the restaurant with the cooked food which they serve to you - Ask the waiting staff for poached or boiled eggs as they are available but they have to be cooked to order. Very friendly staff which are a credit to the hotel
Dinner: 5/5 I had a la carte dinner the night I arrived and there was a good choice and it was reasonably priced. I ordered the fillet steak medium and it was cooked perfectly. Again very friendly staff - The restaurant is very big and I felt lost there as it was a monday night and not busy - Other than that no complaints
Staff: All staff were top class - friendly, helpful and nothing seemed like too much for them. Also a mention for the friendly cheerful manager who showed me how to work the safe in my room - she certainly knows her stuff and is very professional and welcoming!
All in all I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at this hotel - I will defo suggest returning to the girls as Galway looks like a good lively spot but I didnt get to explore much as I was on my own this time!
