My group of four stayed in Galway for two nights in mid-November while visiting from the states. The Fairgreen Hotel was average for us as a group.

Upon arrival the check-in went smoothly and they directed us to park our car in the garage there (great price as we left the car there for the entire 2 days and it was only 8 Euro).

The rooms were good sized and comfortable beds but there is absolutely no view, the room smelled clean (because it smelled like toxic cleaners were used and had a strong chemical odor) and there is construction noise from the work going on next door.

The breakfast was good once you were able to get it. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 8am each morning but apparently that means that 8am is when they start setting up for breakfast. Normally this wouldn't have bothered me as much but the morning we were leaving for our next destination and wanting to get an early start we spent 15-20 minutes waiting for them to have breakfast set up before we could finally order.

The location was decent as it was only a 2-3 block walk to the city centre but there were definitely a few other hotels we wished we had considered as those were even closer.

All in all I am indifferent to this hotel. I would not dissuade people from coming here but would encourage them to explore other options as well since this hotel is very ordinary.

I took my partner on a surprise weekend away to Galway and we stayed in the Fairgreen hotel for 3 nights. I knew the hotel was three star but the welcome we had and the actual room made me question why it wasn't a four star........ and then we found out..... Our room wasn't cleaned properly and the service at breakfast, was at best, Fawlty Towersesque! We did speak to reception about the cleaning issue, and they did send someone to clean the room again, but it wasn't fabulous. Don't get me wrong, the room wasn't dirty, but I think the cleaning staff were cutting a few corners which really took the shine off what was otherwise a perectly pleasant stay. We would, however, stay here again as it's great value for money, the rooms are a great size, modern and cosy, and the location is ideal for the centre.

Galway is such a great city, and I am glad that my friends and I decided to stay with the Fairgreen hotel, it is located in the city centre, so Eyre Square is a minutes walk from the hotel. We also used the facilities at the Spirit One Spa which you can access from the hotel. It was great, the bedrooms were very comfy, the food was lovely, along with the helpful staff, I do not have a bad word about the hotel!

We just returned to NY from a "too short" visit to Galway. The Radisson was the perfect place to stay, close to great restaurants, shopping etc. with easy access to main roads to The Cliffs etc. Parking was underground and included in the room rate. The double bed was king size, with crisp white linens and comfortable pillows. The room was extremely clean and comfortable too. Breakfast (which was included) was an EXCELLENT BUFFET, containing numerous choices served in a lovely restaurant.

We stayed for one night in the wonderful Radisson hotel in Galway. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart og Galway city very close to the train station and with wonderful views over Lough Atalia and onward into County Clare.

We decided to pay a little extra and book a room on Level 5. Access was only available to residents of this floor. The price included the used of the business center and the executive suite which included a free bar. They had a wide selection of DVD's which could be viewed on the huge plasma TV screen in your room or in the lounge. There was a special attendant to this floor who would look after anything you could think of.

The room was huge and the bed very comfortable.

I would go back again just for the breakfast. The soda bread was the best I have ever tasted.

The staff and wondeful and the lesiure facilities are brillant.
