Really nice hotel, rooms were big and spacious, the leisure centre is brilliant, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Residence bar stay open late, and the food in the bar is delicious! Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or for a short business trip. Location makes it the perfect hotel.

was working over christmas so myself and my partner wanted to treat ourselves beforhand to something special so we booked "Level 5" the best rooms. We paid €250 per room per night b & b but I don't think they were worth the price. Clean, confortable rooms but nothing special. Breakfast was lovely and I had the nicest porridge I've ever had. Nice friendly staff and good location. I would recommend the hotel but don't pay the extra for level 5. Its not worth it.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of an escorted coach tour of Southern Irelend. I was looking forward to staying in this hotel and overall it was satisfactory although not quite up to the standard that I have found in this chain elsewhere. We did experience some housekeeping problems in our group. Not all rooms available by 4 pm. Televisions not working. Broken lights etc. Our room was a little tired with a hole on the carpet and in the bedcover, scratched doors etc. I had a shower one evenuing only to find that there were no bath towels replaced in the room servicing that day and had to phone down for some! We had an extremely quiet room which was efficiently served by a quiet air conditioning system. The meals in the restaurant were excellemt and good value for a city hotel. The restaurant was run by very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent restaurant manager who did go out of his way to give customer service to our group. Due to shortage of early morning staff we had quite a delay on porterage which resulted in a delay in our coach leaving for the airport.
Overall it did not live up to my personal expectations but nothing that a bit of sharpening up of the service wouldn't cure.
Very conveniently located for Galway city centre.

Recently stayed for one night in this hotel. While there were no major faults with the place i know for sure that i won't be returning. Check in was very quick, maybe that had something to do with the customer relations manager checking us in! I requested a sea view and that is what we got, however, the room itself was on the small side and felt rather dreary. I have stayed in a few Radissons and none have left me wanting to leave the room as soon as i arrived! The bathroom was on the shabby side. Apart from feeling cramped there was mould that has never been properly scrubbed off gathering on the shower screen. Two towels had a large orange stain that smelt of coffee or something similar. Obviously no one had checked them properly or they hadn't been replaced from the previous guests who used them as a cloth to soak up something. I noticed some cracks in the tiles too.
The corridors were clean and well lit and the cleaning staff were friendly which is always a good sign i think. After our late night at a birthday party we returned at 2am and discovered that the residents bar was open (it closes at 4am). The staff were all really nice and chirpy even at this time!
We availed of the pool, jacuzzi and steam room during our stay. Again there was nothing majorly wrong with it but i just felt an overall sense that you are paying more for the location of the hotel than the amenities and appearance.
Breakfast was probably the best aspect to this hotel. Fantastic buffet style layout and pretty much every taste catered for.
Check-out was very slow as there are only three desks for checking in/out. Everyone leaves their room circa 12 noon as requested so there is an inevitable queue in reception making the area look very chaotic. Saying that, the lady checking us out was very efficient and friendly.
One major problem that i couldn't understand was the slowness of the lifts! For such a large hotel it is ridiculous to wait on just two chronically slow lifts to transport people up and down. It got to the stage where they became a talking point between guests waiting for them. This needs to be sorted out.
Overall i came away thinking that maybe i should have booked in to the G for that bit extra!

Our first stay here was so fantastic, we ended up booking Radisson SAS Galway on two other ocassions. It was later that we noticed some of the minor issues the hotel has which could make your stay less than perfect, and some of the rooms are a little worn looking. If possible, see your room FIRST and I only recommend a room with a water view, and finally be aware that the lifts at peak use times can be frustratingly slow. Our first stay we booked a Standard room on the second floor with water view. The room was attractive, clean, comfortable bed, nice bedding, all traveling needs taken care of and quiet. Robes and slippers are provided.
Location is convenient & short walk to Eyre Square. The car park is comped to you and we were able to leave our car all day after we checked out.
The Leisure facilities are THE TRUE GEM here and we absolutely enjoyed the indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, as well as the outdoor hot tub on a nice misty or rainy day. The extra large exercise room was well ventilated and has a great variety of machines.
The breakfast is almost completely self-serve but has great variety and abundance. I ordered hot porridge and coffee. What was nice is that most items had several choices, for instance there were four different types of yogurt, four types of juices, etc. and many vegetarian options such as fresh and dried fruits, nuts, seads, grilled tomatoes, cold cereals, etc.
The second room we booked was on the 5th Floor, a lovely suite with beautiful big windows and small balcony overlooking the water. Added features such as the complimentary wine, espresso maker and continental early morning breakfast all available in the 5th floor lounge area, as well as the business room with printer. The draperies were unfortunately rather dusty when I closed them.
The 3rd time we stayed here is when we noticed some of the minor drawbacks. The two lifts are not sufficient for a hotel of this size so you frequently are left waiting while it goes sailing past you. We gave up and took the stairs a couple of times, unfortunately once in the early morning, half asleep and on our way to the Leisure Center in our bathrobes we neglected to notice the Fire Exit sign and made the mistake of taking it, so we were locked out on the staircase. A Notice said to walk up to the 4th floor and call the White Phone so that we could get back in. So I walked up the two flights and was told they would send someone to let us back in. As we were waiting we noticed that buckets were stacked on the stairs and water was gushing down from the ceiling and wet moldy looking carpet and walls. It looked as if it has been going on for awhile.
Finally, we actually enjoyed the piano player in the lively lounge belting out Elton John songs on our first stay as it was pouring outside. The lounge is attractive with large windows, a fireplace and comfortable seating. I enjoyed the tuna sandwich from the bar menu and the wine list had what we wanted so we were happy campers. We did notice that the service is inconsistent however.
The 3rd stay the Check In took over ten minutes as he scrolled through the computer presumable looking for a room for us. When I saw the room, I was disappointed as it was worn looking and not as beautiful as the first and second room we had.
My recommendation to the management of Radisson is offer the rooms without the water view at a greatly reduced price, invest in a ventilation sytem including ceiling or wall fans, maintain all rooms at same level of maintainance, and install another Lift from the Lobby Level down to the Garage Level. A lift separate from the garage area I would think would also make it more secure for guests.
