i was in galway on my bussines trip, stayed here couple of nights. ok i didnt get a chance check leisure center or pool, but i really like location and hotel room was very comfy. breakfast was brilliant and variety of food as well.
i stayed before in ardilaun hotel and i can't compare those two hotels. radisson is the winner in galway.
next time i dont have to looking for another hotel becouse i will definitely come back.

The radison sas is the 2nd hotel I've stayed in where they assume you are going to check out without paying for drinks - at check in time. They asked me to sign a pre authorisation for more than the room rate and then locked the mini bar when I refused to sign for the extra.

The breakfast is stodge - cheapest quality you can buy and self service for everythin including the toast.
It was noisey with a wedding disco going on and hooligans banging outside for a hour in the middle of the night.
It is modern but not contemporary.
Every plant in the place is plastic.
It is without charm or uniqueness.
It is basically a three star hotel with facilities that has the adudicity to charge prices on a par with the salubrious nearby G.

I do not like it.

We stayed one night en route to the Aran Islands. The weather was atrocious so we didn't venture outside the hotel. We orderred a meal in the bar. I don't know if there was something wrong with the air conditioning but it was freezing! After struggling to get someone's attention to order we then waited about an hour to get fed. When I finally asked what the delay was they had forgotten to ring our order to the kitchen. When the meal finally arrivd it was cold and the steak they were charging €26 euro for only passed a passing resemblence to meat. Shoe leather was nearer the mark. The accompanying wilted lettuce garnish did nothing to help the appearance. The waiter told me he would not charge for the steak because of the delay but I think he was embarassed by the appearance of the dinner! The rooms are pretty standard but have quite high spec additions i.e. flat screen tv. The breakfast buffet has a huge choice but it can become pretty crowded when coach parties are in residence. All in all I would say it is a good place to stay short term but I would not spend a week here. The staff are stretched and efficiency is not all it could be. You could see they were very busy and did not have time to engage with customers.

I loved the breakfast at the Radisson it was the best I had in Ireland, so much to choose from and the cost was included in the price of the room. They had so much to choose from and we spent a long time relaxing and chatting and enjoying it and the staff didn't rush us. Our room was fine, really comfy bed and nice and quiet. The leisure section was a bit dated but that really didnt bother me. Good bed and good breakfast. All little pricy I suppose but it was a treat.

We stayed in the hotel on the June bank holiday weekend, our friends also joined us in the Radisson. Their room was dreadful and it was a wheelchair room also, which had an open floored shower room so after having a shower if you walked in to the toilet again your feet/slippers would get wet. the windo in their room could not open as the window would open onto the hotel foyer - seems like a hotel design issue to me. As for ourselves the room was stuffy and the window only opened 2" or so. The room was constantly stuffy and no air could circulate, we ordered two pizzas on the saturday before heading out and they were the most disgusting pizzas I have ever come across. On leaving the hotel we were charged for parking our car! a total of around €45 added to the weekend which actually cost more of the petrol on a return journey from Dublin. I would not stay in this hotel again even for free thats how bad it was.
