My friend and I stayed here in October.
The spa facilities are second to none! The staff are just a joy.

The room was only ok - not too fancy and in need of a facelift but clean and tidy nevertheless.

The barstaff make great cocktails and are friendly with it.
Great location, only a couple of minutes walk from Eyre Square.

Did enjoy it so much I've booked again for New Years, just hope I get a nicer room...

  • Liked — The spa and leisure facilities were just brilliant!
  • Disliked — Room needed a bit of a makeover.

I have stayed here on many occasions and I find the hotel a very relaxing place to spend a night or two.

The bar / lounge area is very comfortable, especially in winter when the fire is on. However the service here is a bit hit and miss.

The leisure facilities are great and the outdoor hot tub is a must try, especially when it is raining and windy in Galway.

The rooms / bathrooms while adequate need a revamp, for example; furniture is damaged, walls are marked and showers hoses are tempramental. The corridors are in serious need of a lick of paint.

In the morning beware of breakfast which is always crowded at weekends and the checkout process can take up to 45 mins with long queues, (so use the express check out facility on your television).

Despite some of my negative comments above, I do enjoy this hotel, especially when Morris is playing the piano in the lounge at night.

Ok so the car park was a little confusing to find as it's called the railway carpark or something but I wouldn't let that reflect on the hotel. Level 5 is a must, a little pricey but well worth it. The hotel is central and enough to one side of the center of town to have a nice scenic view out over the river. Staff were very friendly and never too far away.
I would go back, I would recommend it, what more can I say - book it.

  • Liked — The outdoor hot tub
  • Disliked — The funny name on the carpark

Galway is such a great place to visit and after a long day walking and exploring it was nice to have the spa facilities to return to - especially the outdoor hot tub. The hotel itself is situated close to Eyre Square and there are plenty of great restaurants and cosy pubs nearby to suit everybody.

We got a good rate at this hotel - worked out at approx £120 per room per night B&B and the breakfast was really good each morning.

If you can get this hotel for a reasonable rate I would recommend it.

  • Liked — Great Spa facilities and the hotel itself was very clean
  • Disliked — Can't really thing of a negative.

We went to the Radisson for a couple of days for our honeymoon. It was just an absolutely brillant experience and like a whole different world. The level 5 suite is just amazing with brillant views. There is also a executive lounge on this floor just for people staying in the suites and it is so relaxing with any complementary drink you can think of. The main restaurant in the Hotel is lovely and the food was to die for. The main bar is lovely and relaxing with open fires and the food is also brillant. There is so much choice with the breakfast each morning that it is hard to choose what to eat. It is a buffet so you can actually go up as many times as you like. Carparking is free once you are a resident in the hotel which is pretty rare to find in Ireland. The leisure centre is wonderful and so clean and you have to try out the outdoor hottub. We also went down to the spa for a couple of treatments which were lovely. What we like most about the spa is the thermo suite which is also complementary for guests. The only complaint that I could have about this hotel is that they advertise 24 hour room service and we rang down at 11.30pm and they told us that the room service was finished for the night. It didn't bother us too much but I just think that they shouldn't advertise 24 hour room service if they don't provide it. Overall our stay was wonderful and the staff couldn't do enough to help us which just made it even nicer.

  • Liked — The room was just so comfortable
  • Disliked — Didn't have 24 hour room service like advertised
