Stayed 3 nights at €190.00/night.
Difficult to find hotel carpark at first since they have chosen to name it the 'Railway' carpark - confusing since the railway station is across the road.
Had to change rooms first night due to noise from road at rear and trains rolling into the station - sound reduction and quality of windows is very poor (have a look at the windows in Bewleys hotels, Dublin - seems to be far higher specification).
2nd night 26/10/07- Having booked restaurant from our hotel room through reception we were told by head waiter that there was no record of booking. 'He' was very put out by this as though it was our fault, however he did give us a table - in the darkest, dingiest corner possible. The couple beside us had to ask for light to be turned up to read menu, the head waiter reluctantly obliged.
I asked for a different table, and although there were plenty of empty tables they were apparently all taken (college graduation seemingly - but hey, I also reserved a table for two and I am sure other customers hadn't specified which table they wanted - so first come should have choice of table, surely).
Anyway, other problems were lock on toilet door broken, light in main cupboard did not work. Beds very large, in fact uncomfortably large. The lifts were very intermittent, quicker to use stairs - other hotels generally have a separate lift for the carpark which is a good idea in terms of security. The Radisson carpark is open to the public, so any unsavoury character could take the lift from the carpark (without the need for a room key) to any of the guests floors (except level 5 of course) - in terms of security this is not acceptable and should be addressed asap. Also, on checking out we found several items added to our bill which we did not have. One of which was a large bill from the bar which was signed by someone else and with a different room number, so how could they have mixed this up with my bill??
The above might seem minor issues to some, but when you consider the price at €190/night you would expect a reasonably satisfactory, comfortable and safe stay (and remember Bewleys in Dublin is around €100 cheaper than this and in my opinion in terms of comfort).
I admit that the facilities are quite good (leisure centre, but very pricey spa) but I could not recommend this hotel since the experience does not justify the price.
