Probably the most disappointing stay in a B&B in about 20 years. The rooms are "usually huge" per the blurb ... ... well ours was tiny. You couldn't swing a cat in it. The view from the window (curtainless I might add) was of a tumbledown farm yard and not "beautiful" as was expected. The "ensuite" was made up of a shower with a door that didn't close and the toilet was outside the room and on the corridor. This was "dedicated" to Room 12 but was available to all and sundry and was used during the night. The broken toilet roll holder came at no extra charge. With the help of hopeless signage, the ill informed, but very enthusiastic staff sent us on a wild goose chase. We gave up trying to find the place before dinner and by the time we got there they'd sold our room to someone else, despite the fact that we'd agreed that we'd try to find them after dinner. They tried to charge "full price" for the shoe box with poor facilities that they "found" and really didn't handle the customer satisfaction side very well at all. Just make sure that you get what you asked for and that you're not messed about. Otherwise, the upside was that I got to play a few tunes with the vsisitng musicians in the main room ... ... but that didn't make up for the bedromm or the complete lack of compromise on the charges the following morning. What a pity ... ... it could have been quite nice.
