“Great Way To Spend An Hour In Galway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

I thought 'a museum in Galway?' I was surprised by how interesting it was! Admission is at no charge and there are good bathrooms as you enter and an excellent cafe that serves cake...but the exhibits were actually cool! History told through artifacts helps us appreciate things a bit better. I really liked the military display on the second floor...the propaganda posters were awesome!
Finish the hour tour with a well deserved coffee and cake. Then head right outside to see the Spanish arch. You won't be disappointed with this plan!

“A great museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Don't miss this museum! The building itself is well laid out and very intuitive. The exhibits trace the history of Galway (and Ireland to a degree) and its people. It was great, and it's free!

“Small but good”

Galway Ciry Museum has some interestign artefacts representing the area. It also hosts a number of exhibitions throughout the year and best of all - it's free!
