An otherwise anodyne large hotel was saved by the very friendly and helpful Irish reception staff. The room was absolutely enormous. The views of the car park were . . . wet, but that's not the hotel's fault. Nice pool very quiet in the early morning. Worth the money if you like a huge room but we moved next night to a guest house which was a fraction of the price and got us closer to real Irish people.

We spent one night in this hotel during our coach tour of Ireland. Lobby area was nice and we used the Internet service there with no problems. However, the rooms were the smallest of any hotel that we stayed in our 2 week tour of Ireland! Very tiny bathroom also. The rooms were very dated and I was glad we weren't staying here more than one night.

Another hotel on our coach tour of Ireland and perhaps we always get the dreadful rooms. Beautiful Galway bay at the front and our view was of the car park and service entrance! As usual no air-conditioning and the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in any hotel in the world! You could sit in the toilet and wash your feet in the sink! Impossible for my elderly mother to use safely. The dining room is full of staff but theservice was slow to say the least. I asked for a rare steak and steamed veg and got a very well done steak and fried potatoes! Thankfully the duty manager apologised and we did not have to pay for the meal.My mothers meal was delicious.Breakfast was slow to be served again so self-service would be better. Anoyther hotel in need of total refurbishment.

galway is such a nice place to stay check out the pubs the dining and the fun, i stayed in this hotel 15 years ago and i have to say that it looks ass if it has not been done up since then. the room was shabby the bath was old and stained as was the carpets. only ever stay here if your stuck !!!
