I recently booked a 3 night break in the Galway Bay hotel with my wife and 2 young children. I have stayed in the hotel before and once again I was not dissappointed. We found the staff friendly upon arrival and were given a nice spacious room on the corner of the hotel. My eldest daughter really enjoyed the kids club which takes children up to 11pm at night. The hotel has a lovely lounge beside the main bar which caters for parents with children who want a quiet drink. The swimming pool is nice but can get a little crowded at certain times. We did not have dinner in the restaurant but we did have room service which was of a very good standard. The only criticism I would have would be the standard of breakfast and service is not quite as good as it was when I have stayed previously. One morning I asked 3 different people for a pot of tea and still did not receive it. Perhaps the chef could have a fish of the day or maybe pancakes as an option for breakfast as you can get tired of the same old fry up which was a bit bland. It would also be nice to go to a hotel that had table service for breakfast for a change. However this would not stop me returning to this hotel as I believe it has a lot of good qualities.
