myself and my husband are from ireland .this is our favourite hotel to stay in.the service is excellent,better then any 5 star hotel iv stayed in.rooms are spotless and has everything you could require,and reception staff are only willing to help you.the breakfast is fab.the resturant food is to die for.you must book early as its booked out most weekends.you are 5mins from city centre.hotel is in salthill a sea side resort.sea is straight across the road.and the sea front is busy every day with locals and tourists.the athmosphe is great.local resturants near by.

I stayed at the Galway Bay Hotel for a long weekend at the end of Oct '08. It's in a fantastic location, and is beautiful inside. The bar was lively and although we only ate in the restaurant one evening the service was top notch and the food top quality.
The breakfast every morning far exceded anything I expected for standard Irish breakfasts that you usually encounter in hotels around the country.
The staff were always helpful and pleasant, and couldn't do enough for you.
The bedroom was very clean and comfortable (with a fab view of the Salthill prom).
Overall I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I definitely plan on going back to them again

While on a 4 day business trip, I chose to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to Galway Bay. I was very pleased with the room and how clean and spacious it was, and I found the breakfast to be excellent. I appreciated the free internet and parking. One negative about the hotel is that it wasn't very convenient to the city, but I knew that going in.

I did find that the people at the front desk weren't very knowledgable about Galway and couldn't help with directions or general information (i.e., which bus to catch). The people who worked in the restaurant, however, were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

While the hotel itself and its amenities were very nice, I'm not sure if I would stay here again. Personally I would prefer to be located closer to the city centre on my next visit, especially if I have an extended stay.

Loved everything about this hotel.Went for a break with three very young children. Room was lovely and big.Eldest child loved kids camp and we felt really safe leaving her in the hands of the enthusiastic staff.Restaurant deserves special mention.Without doubt the best hotel restaurant I have ever eaten in.Not your usual run of the mill hotel food.For anyone considering a break away with kids would definately consider Galway Bay.
